The Titanium 7 is a mid-to-large-sized plug-in hybrid SUV developed by BYD’s Fangchengbao brand. Positioned between the Leopard 5 and Leopard 8 (as the second model in the Titan series), it features a unibody structure with dimensions of 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height. with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. It is available in two versions: an AWD long-range model and a FWD standard-range model. The AWD version is equipped with a 35.6 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 180 km; the FWD version features a 26.6 kWh battery pack, with a CLTC-rated range of 135 km. Exterior Design

The Fangchengbao Tai 7 adopts the brand’s unique tough-style design language, consistent with the positioning of Fangchengbao’s SUV models, featuring a boxy overall silhouette with straight and powerful lines that highlight its broad and robust body posture. It is equipped with a rugged front fascia with a large-sized grille, paired with sharp split headlights and distinctive linear daytime running lights, which enhance its tough and dynamic visual impact. The rear is designed with a simple and neat style, equipped with a small rear spoiler (lovingly called the “small schoolbag” by users) and stylish taillights, which not only optimizes the vehicle’s aerodynamic performance but also adds a touch of individuality. The body offers a variety of personalized color options and even supports gradient color modification services, catering to the personalized needs of different users, whether for family use or outdoor travel scenarios.

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, making it the SUV with the largest wheelbase and the most spacious interior space in the Fangchengbao product line. It has an approach angle of 24 degrees, a departure angle of 25 degrees, a minimum ground clearance of 210 mm in the unloaded state, and a battery pack ground clearance of about 260 mm, showing excellent passability. The interior space is extremely spacious with a super high space utilization rate of 70.9%, and the effective length of the passenger compartment exceeds 3.3 meters, easily accommodating adults of 190 cm in height. The rear seats feature a flexible folding design, and the luggage compartment volume can be expanded to 1,880L when folded down, which not only increases the flexibility of storage and seating but also meets the needs of outdoor camping, long-distance travel and large-item transportation.

Interior Design

The Fangchengbao Tai 7 features an interior design that combines toughness and warmth, with horizontal and vertical lines creating a sense of spaciousness. It is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a floating central touchscreen, and a 26-inch head-up display (W-HUD), paired with multiple auxiliary screens including rear entertainment screens, forming a 7-screen interconnection system that delivers an outstanding visual and interactive experience. Interior color schemes include three options: Snow Hidden Gray, Eclipse Blue, and Sunset Orange, complemented by high-quality interior materials and star glow ambient lights with stepless color change, creating a comfortable and technological atmosphere that caters to personalized preferences.

In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 18-inch wheels, front and rear side airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, cruise control, and the BYD Tianyan Zhiyan intelligent driver-assistance system, among other practical functions. It also comes standard with full-leather souffle seats, front and rear seat ventilation and heating, a front double-wishbone and rear five-link luxury chassis, an electric tailgate, and seat back ecological interfaces. The higher-spec Ultra version adds the Tianyan Zhiyan B-assist driving laser version (DiPilot 300), 20-inch wheels, high-performance four-piston calipers (front), an active fragrance system, and up to 20 speakers, and can be optionally equipped with the Lingyuan BYD intelligent in-vehicle UAV system. Additionally, it is equipped with premium configurations including a 4.5L heating and cooling refrigerator (-6℃ to 50℃), a smart fresh air system, and a BYD self-developed DiSheng music cockpit, further enhancing the luxurious and comfortable experience.

Powertrain

The Fangchengbao Tai 7 is available in both plug-in hybrid (DM) and pure electric (EV Flash Charge Edition) versions to meet different user needs. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and an electric motor, with a maximum power of 115 kW for the engine, 200 kW for the single motor of the two-wheel drive version, and 160 kW and 200 kW for the front and rear dual motors of the four-wheel drive version respectively. It is paired with an e-CVT transmission and features the world’s first full-speed range wheel-end decoupling technology, which can seamlessly switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive in the full speed range.

The plug-in hybrid version is available with two battery pack specifications: 26.6 kWh and 35.6 kWh, with a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 135 km to 200 km and a comprehensive range exceeding 1,300 km. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of the two-wheel drive version is as low as 1.36 L per 100 km, and the fuel consumption in the lowest charge state is 5.9 L per 100 km; the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of the four-wheel drive version is as low as 1.1 L per 100 km, and the fuel consumption in the亏电 state is about 6.4 L per 100 km. The pure electric version is available in single-motor and dual-motor versions, with a maximum power of 300 kW for the single motor and 215 kW + 300 kW for the dual motors, supporting 72 kW fast charging, which can charge from 30% to 80% in about 17.4 minutes, and slow charging can be fully charged in about 6 hours.
