The Hongqi HS3 inherits the brand’s iconic “High Mountain Waterfall” straight waterfall grille design, featuring polished vertical chrome strips that exude a fashionable and dynamic aura, paired with a prominent Hongqi emblem in the center that extends from the grille to the hood, highlighting the brand’s unique heritage. It is equipped with U-shaped LED headlights seamlessly connected to the grille, with exquisite decorative elements inside and distinctive daytime running lights, which enhance both technological sense and driving safety. The rear is fitted with a through-type taillight with wing-shaped light strips, and a sleek roof spoiler that optimizes aerodynamic performance while adding a sporty touch, complemented by a bilateral dual-exhaust layout and chrome trim, creating a refined and youthful look. The side of the body features a smooth waistline extending from the fender to the rear, paired with stylish five-spoke wheels and color-matched door handles, enhancing the overall streamlined beauty and dynamic sense.
In terms of body colors, the vehicle offers a variety of options including classic solid colors and fashionable two-tone color schemes, catering to the aesthetic preferences of young users. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,655 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,668 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. The spacious wheelbase ensures ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers, and the 5-door 5-seat layout with foldable rear seats can be converted into a flat loading space, easily meeting the needs of daily commuting and family travel. The wheel specifications are 235/60 R18 for the standard model and 235/55 R19 for higher-spec versions, further enhancing the sporty appearance.
Interior Design
The interior of the Hongqi HS3 takes “dynamic fashion” as the core design concept, integrating Oriental aesthetics with intelligent technology on the basis of the brand’s classic central axis symmetry layout. It is equipped with a dual-screen interaction system consisting of a full LCD instrument cluster and a 12.6-inch curved central touchscreen, paired with the Qisi 1.0 intelligent network connection system that supports OTA upgrades and multi-round intelligent voice interaction, delivering a smooth and convenient intelligent experience. The cabin is wrapped in high-quality materials, including bucket seats with strong wrapping sense, soft leather trim on the center console, and matte metal decorative strips, creating a high-end and comfortable tactile and visual experience. The interior is also equipped with 253-color ambient lights, adding a more refined and romantic atmosphere to the cabin.
Interior color schemes include classic single-color and fashionable two-tone options, satisfying personalized needs. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, cruise control, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and a PM2.5 air filtration system. The higher-spec version adds a 360-degree camera system, wireless phone charging, front collision warning, active braking, lane departure warning, and a high-end sound system, further enhancing comfort, safety and practicality. The vehicle is also equipped with 6 airbags and a 0.01-second bidirectional pre-tightening seat belt function, providing all-round safety protection.
Powertrain
The Hongqi HS3 offers 1.5T and 2.0T two power options to meet different user needs. The 1.5T model is equipped with a 1.5T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection engine, delivering a maximum power of 124 kW and a peak torque of 258 N·m, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, achieving a smooth and responsive shifting experience. The 2.0T model is equipped with a 2.0T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection engine, delivering a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 380 N·m, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling strong power output.
The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the 1.5T model is 9.9 seconds, with a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.8 L/100km, while the 2.0T model achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds and a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 7.3 to 7.5 L/100km, achieving an excellent balance between power and fuel economy. The vehicle adopts a MacPherson independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension, ensuring stable driving performance and comfortable riding experience, and some models are equipped with an on-demand four-wheel drive system, further improving traction and passability.
