The BYD Great Tang EV is the first D-segment flagship all-electric SUV launched by BYD’s Dynasty Network, and it made its debut on March 5, 2026. The vehicle measures 5,263 millimeters in length, 1,999 millimeters in width, and 1,790/1,800 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 millimeters. It features a 2+2+3 seven-seat configuration.

Exterior Design

The BYD Great Tang EV adopts BYD’s latest family design language, equipped with long horizontal front daytime running lights and vertical headlight groups. The front hood is designed with raised lines, and the rear features a streamlined tail layout with exclusive taillight styling. The vehicle is available in multiple exterior color options including Snow White, Ice Blue, Star Black and Dusk Purple.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle has a length of 5,263 mm, a width of 1,999 mm, a height of 1,790 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. The model adopts a 2+3+2 seven-seat layout. The rear seats support flexible folding adjustment, which expands storage space and meets diverse seating and loading demands.

Interior Design

The BYD Great Tang EV is fitted with a full LCD digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen, equipped with the DiLink 6.0 intelligent cockpit system. The interior color schemes include Elegant Black, Warm Brown and Mist Gray. The vehicle adopts NAPPA leather upholstery and multi-position adjustable physical seats.
In terms of configuration, the standard model is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, panoramic reversing camera, constant speed cruise control, front side airbags and multi-airbag safety system. The higher-spec versions are equipped with Level 2 intelligent driver-assistance system, active braking system, 360-degree panoramic imaging system and 6.6 kW external power output function.

Powertrain

The BYD Great Tang EV provides two powertrain versions: single-motor two-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 180 kW and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The dual-motor version achieves a comprehensive maximum power of 380 kW and a comprehensive peak torque of 700 Nm, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with a 108.8 kWh BYD blade battery pack. The CLTC cruising range of the single-motor version reaches 950 km, and the CLTC cruising range of the dual-motor version is 850 km. It supports high-speed fast charging, with a charging time of approximately 28 minutes from 30% to 80% battery level.
