Exterior Design

The BYD Yuan Plus adopts the brand’s iconic Dragon Face 3.0 design language, as a compact pure electric SUV under BYD’s Dynasty Series, which perfectly integrates the brand’s traditional cultural elements with modern new energy aesthetics, consistent with the brand’s high-end new energy design concept and youthful positioning. It features a sleek and dynamic front fascia with a wide silver trim strip running through the front, inlaid with the new BYD logo, matched with a simplified front bumper with a larger area of body-color decorative panels and an expanded air vent, which not only enhances the sense of sportiness but also optimizes aerodynamic performance significantly. The sharp integrated LED headlights are paired with unique dynamic daytime running lights, and the rear is equipped with a stylish through-type LED taillight with a new Chinese knot element, with the “BYD” English logo replacing the original “Build Your Dream” slogan on the trunk lid, highlighting a strong sense of technology and extremely high recognition when lit. The rear is also fitted with a sporty high-mounted rear spoiler (with a new-style high-position brake light) and a redesigned rear bumper with extended reflective strips, which echoes the front design and further highlights its tough and dynamic charm as a compact SUV. The body is available in multiple color options: Surf Blue, Ski White, Rock Climbing Gray, Adventure Green, Run Cool Red, and the Honor Edition adds a Black Knight color, while the second-generation intelligent driving version introduces a new Le Dong Mi color, catering to the aesthetic needs of different young and family users.

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,615 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. As a 5-door 5-seat compact SUV, it is built on the BYD e-Platform 3.0, providing a spacious and comfortable interior space that surpasses the same level. The side profile retains the traditional door handles, with sharp “dragon scale” decorative panels on the C-pillar and upgraded chrome trim strips on the lower edge of the doors, creating a layered visual effect. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which can expand the trunk space to 1,338L after folding, meeting daily commuting, shopping and occasional travel needs, and fully reflecting its practicality as a family SUV. The overall space layout is reasonable, with 24 carefully designed storage spaces, and sufficient headroom and legroom for both front and rear seats, ensuring a comfortable riding experience for all passengers, especially suitable for urban commuting and family short-distance travel.

Interior Design

The BYD Yuan Plus is equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster and a standard 12.8-inch or optional 15.6-inch adaptive rotating floating central touchscreen (depending on the trim level), which is equipped with the latest DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system with a 5G chip, delivering a convenient and smooth visual and interactive experience. The system supports full-scenario intelligent voice interaction, 3D vehicle control and ONE ID account system, with high recognition accuracy and fast response, and built-in a large number of APP ecosystems to meet diverse user needs; it also supports OTA remote upgrade, remote vehicle control, mobile phone NFC and Bluetooth key unlocking functions, enhancing the convenience of use significantly. The interior design is simple and luxurious, with a large area of soft wrapping materials, and the second-generation intelligent driving version adopts Yuan Li comfortable split seats with split headrests to improve riding comfort. Interior color schemes include Light Luxury Beige and Twilight Cloud Gray (with blue-purple gradient effect), creating a warm and technological atmosphere. The center console adopts an electronic column shifter design, which simplifies the layout and increases storage space; the top-equipped model is also equipped with a vehicle-mounted compressor refrigerator, supporting 35℃~50℃ heat preservation and -6℃～6℃ freezing functions. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch wheels, front and rear airbags, front and rear row through-type side air curtains, rear parking sensors, 360-degree panoramic camera, automatic air conditioning, and front row Type A+C combination charging ports, among other practical functions. The higher-spec models (especially the second-generation intelligent driving version) add DiPilot 100 intelligent driving assistance system (Tian Shen Zhi Yan C-high-end intelligent driving three-eye version), W-HUD head-up display, DMS fatigue driving monitoring, front seat heating, and LED soft beauty mirror, further enhancing the comfort, safety and practicality of the vehicle.

Powertrain

The BYD Yuan Plus is a pure electric vehicle exclusively equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, built on the BYD e-Platform 3.0, and equipped with an eight-in-one electric powertrain with an overall system efficiency of up to 89%, which is 20% smaller in volume and 15% lighter in weight under the same power. The motor has a maximum power of 150 kW (204 Ps) and a peak torque of 310 Nm, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds, ensuring a brisk and smooth driving experience suitable for both urban commuting and long-distance travel. The vehicle is equipped with BYD blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs of two capacities: 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh, offering CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 430 km and 510 km respectively, meeting the needs of users with different commuting distances. It is also equipped with a wide-temperature efficient heat pump system, which can work in a wide temperature range of -30~60℃, improving energy efficiency in extreme weather. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and AC normal charging is also supported (7.13 hours for the 430km version and 8.64 hours for the 510km version), effectively solving the anxiety of daily travel and long-distance trips. In addition, the vehicle adopts a front MacPherson independent suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension, carefully tuned to bring a superior riding texture, with excellent handling and comfort.
