The BYD Frigate 07 is a midsize SUV under BYD’s Ocean Network, with dimensions of 4,820 × 1,920 × 1,750 mm and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. It features a five-seat layout. Exterior Design

The BYD Frigate 07 is a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV, equipped with a polygonal front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with through-type LED taillight groups and aerodynamic rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 19-inch and 20-inch wheel configurations for different versions. Partial versions are fitted with roof-mounted lidar sensors and semi-hidden door handles. A panoramic sunroof is equipped as standard.

The vehicle adopts a 5-door 5-seater layout. The body dimensions are 4820 mm in length, 1920 mm in width and 1750 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and electric tailgate are standard configurations.

Interior Design

The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a rotatable central touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.

Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging, external vehicle discharge and OTA upgrade functions.

Powertrain

The BYD Frigate 07 provides DM-i front-wheel drive and DM-p four-wheel drive layouts, matched with E-CVT transmission. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T inline four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum power of 102 kW and a peak torque of 231 Nm. The front-wheel drive version is matched with a single electric motor, and the four-wheel drive version is matched with dual electric motors.

The vehicle is equipped with plug-in hybrid dedicated blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 18.3 kWh and 36.8 kWh. The NEDC pure electric cruising range covers 100 km, 175 km and 205 km for different versions, with a comprehensive cruising range up to 1200 km. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery system and multi-link independent suspension system.
