Exterior Design
The Chery Ant EQ1 adopts a unique “Candy Mecha” design language, integrating cuteness with futuristic technology, which makes it stand out among mini electric vehicles. It features a rounded and lovely front fascia with a closed grille covered with parametric diamond reliefs that emit rippling breathing light effects when charging, full of ritual sense. The central LOGO is not only a brand symbol but also a rotatable “energy hub” that automatically flips to reveal the charging port when unlocked, showing exquisite design ingenuity. It is equipped with oval “jelly big eyes” LED headlight groups, and the three-color layered light source conveys the vehicle status more vividly, paired with matte black bumpers shaped like cat paws, creating a full sense of contrasting cuteness. The rear is equipped with a small rear spoiler embedded with a high-mounted brake light, paired with pixel-style through-type taillights and three-dimensional “ANT” letter logos, enhancing its fashionable and lovely appearance. The body is available in multiple vibrant color options: Mint Green, Lovely Purple, Pure White, Cool Gray, Dragon Tongue Blue, Light Cyan, and Sweet Peach Pink, catering to the personalized aesthetic preferences of different urban users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 3,240 mm in length, 1,670 mm in width, and 1,550 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,150 mm. The 2,150 mm wheelbase ensures a practical two-door four-seat interior space that meets daily commuting needs, and the front and rear interior headroom reaches a comfortable level for a mini electric vehicle. The rear seats feature a split-folding design (50/50 split or integral folding), which not only increases flexibility for storage and seating but also expands the trunk space to meet the needs of daily shopping and short-distance travel.
Interior Design
The Chery Ant EQ1 is equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch floating central infotainment display, supporting Bluetooth and WeChat integration, delivering an outstanding visual experience and smooth operation. Interior color schemes include black and white two-tone and other personalized options, creating a sharp color contrast and an elegant and comfortable atmosphere. The cockpit adopts a minimalist design, covered with high-quality environmental fabric or leather materials and refined plastic panels, paired with a multi-function steering wheel (PU or leather-wrapped) and LED front reading lights, creating a comfortable and user-friendly cockpit environment. It also comes with practical configurations such as a PM2.5 filter and air conditioning self-cleaning function, ensuring a healthy and environmentally friendly cabin environment.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 15-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, keyless start system, central locking, and hill-holding aid, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds leather multi-function steering wheel, front-row wireless charging, AI voice control system, CarLife and 4G-WiFi connectivity, as well as practical features such as electric Easy-Entry passenger seat and one-touch power windows with anti-pinch function, further enhancing driving comfort and convenience performance.
Powertrain
The Chery Ant EQ1 is equipped with a rear-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, delivering a maximum power output of 36 kW (about 48 horsepower) and peak torque of 95 Nm. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 100 km/h. The Chery Ant EQ1 comes standard with a 25.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack (up to 28.86 kWh in some versions), offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 301 km. It supports Eco and Sport driving modes, paired with an intelligent kinetic energy recovery system, further improving energy efficiency.
In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 40 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and it supports 3.3 kW slow charging which takes about 9 hours to fully charge (with an optional 6.6 kW AC charger). The battery is equipped with a low-temperature battery heating system and a battery intelligent supplementary charging function, ensuring stable performance in extreme weather. With a comprehensive power consumption of about 9.4 kWh per 100 km, it is energy-efficient and cost-effective, making it suitable for daily urban commuting and short-distance outings.
