Exterior Design
The Changan Uni-T adopts the brand’s iconic “Borderless” design language, which is quite different from the cute style of Changan Lumin, featuring a bold and futuristic front fascia with a parametric grille composed of 150 diamond-shaped elements, creating an illusion of infinite extension and integration. It is paired with sharp split LED headlights and distinctive flowing LED daytime running lights, which enhance the sense of movement and technology. The rear is equipped with the original V-shaped spoiler, inspired by the swept-back wing design in aerodynamics, which can effectively guide air flow and improve body stability at high speeds. The quad exhaust pipe design adds a strong sense of masculinity and visual impact, while the sharp taillights echo the front headlights, forming a consistent and aggressive overall style. The body is available in multiple dynamic color options, including Ion Blue, Sky Blue, Starry Gray, Diamond Black, Star White and Atomic Gray, catering to the personalized needs of young and sporty users.
In terms of dimensions, the standard model of the vehicle measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, and 1,565 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,710 mm; the length of the sporty version reaches 4,580 mm, with a ground clearance of 190 mm, approaching angle of 17° and departure angle of 26°, which enhances its passability. It adopts a 5-door 5-seat SUV body structure, with pure curved body design that abandons complicated lines, showing the beauty of dynamic light and shadow changes. The hidden door handles are integrated with the curved body, which automatically pop up when approaching with a smart key and retract automatically when the door is closed, reducing wind resistance while adding a sense of ritual. The sporty version is equipped with a night aurora sports kit, 20-inch matte black blade wheels and contrasting color calipers, making the whole vehicle look lower and more powerful.
Interior Design
The Changan Uni-T features a minimalist and tech-savvy interior design, adopting a wrap-around cockpit layout that tilts slightly towards the driver for more convenient operation. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch integrated high-definition touchscreen, forming a seamless dual-screen display with an 8.1° angle inclined to the driver, which not only delivers an outstanding visual experience but also ensures easy reading for the driver while taking into account the co-pilot’s view. The interior is adorned with a large number of soft搪塑 materials and leather decorations, paired with optional red and black two-tone color schemes, enhancing the sporty atmosphere and interior texture.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with practical configurations such as a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, leather sport seats, automatic air conditioning, rear air vents, and a 15W wireless charging slot under the center console. The higher-spec flagship version adds advanced functions including Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, a 360-degree camera system, and a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an intelligent voice control system that can easily realize operations such as navigation, music playback, and window lifting, bringing a more convenient driving experience. The rear seats support 40/60 split-folding, which improves storage flexibility and meets diverse usage needs.
Powertrain
The Changan Uni-T is available with two power options to meet different user needs. The main model is equipped with a front-mounted 1.5T Blue Whale NE high-pressure direct-injection turbocharged engine, jointly developed by Changan’s domestic and UK R&D centers, delivering a maximum power output of 132 kW (180 horsepower) and a peak torque of 300 N·m, which can be output stably in the range of 1250-3500 rpm, minimizing turbo lag. It is paired with a new Blue Whale 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with a comprehensive transmission efficiency of up to 94.3%, ensuring smooth shifting and excellent fuel economy, with a combined fuel consumption of 6.3 L/100km and meeting the National 6b emission standard.
The high-performance version is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 171 kW and a peak torque of 390 N·m, paired with the same 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, enabling the vehicle to achieve a maximum speed of 215 km/h. Both power versions adopt a front-wheel-drive layout and undergo professional racing chassis tuning, with a 100-kilometer braking distance of 33.24 meters, ensuring excellent handling performance and driving stability for daily commuting and occasional sporty driving.
