Exterior Design
The Hyper SSR adopts the unique “Functional Current” design language, combining aerodynamic optimization with supercar dynamics to present an aggressive and streamlined posture, which is born for the track while maintaining exquisite craftsmanship. It features a compact semi-closed front fascia, with sharp and slender L-shaped LED headlights on both sides, integrating L-shaped daytime running lights and matrix LED far and near beams, highlighting its sharp and sporty temperament. The aggressive front bumper is equipped with a carbon fiber sports kit, with air vents on both sides and a heat dissipation air intake in the middle, which not only enhances the visual aggressiveness but also effectively improves the heat dissipation efficiency of the power system. The entire body is covered with 100% carbon fiber exterior panels, achieving excellent lightweight performance with a lightweight coefficient of only 1.72. The side profile has a dynamic wedge shape, with smooth lines running from the front to the rear, paired with eye-catching butterfly doors that can be opened by buttons or stepping on the brake pedal deeply, which is highly recognizable and convenient for getting on and off. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, with tire specifications of 245/35 R20 at the front and 305/30 R20 at the rear, paired with tires using the same formula technology as the C919 large aircraft, ensuring excellent grip performance. The rear is equipped with L-shaped taillights that echo the front headlights, connected by a black trim panel with the brand logo embedded. An adaptive electric lifting rear wing is also fitted, which can provide 100kg of downforce when the vehicle speed exceeds 250km/h, ensuring driving stability at high speeds. The body is available in multiple dynamic and stylish color options, catering to the personalized needs of supercar enthusiasts.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,556 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width, and 1,230 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, positioning it as a pure electric 2-door 2-seat hardtop supercar. The low body posture not only enhances the sporty atmosphere but also optimizes aerodynamic performance. The 2-seat layout focuses on the driving experience, ensuring that both the driver and passenger have a comfortable riding space while maintaining the compact shape of the supercar. The trunk space is designed to be practical, which can easily accommodate daily items or small travel luggage, balancing track performance and daily usability.
Interior Design
The Hyper SSR features a driver-centered “Driver First” intelligent cockpit design, integrating racing sports style with luxurious comfort, creating an immersive driving environment. The interior is extensively covered with high-quality European custom leather, paired with carbon fiber decorative panels on the steering wheel, center console and auxiliary instrument panel, highlighting the supercar’s sporty attributes and exquisite craftsmanship. The steering wheel adopts a hexagonal racing-style design, with an ergonomic grip area that fits the palm perfectly, enhancing the driving control experience. The center console adopts a simple and neat layout, with a 14.6-inch embedded multimedia screen tilted towards the driver, paired with an 8.88-inch full LCD instrument cluster, forming an efficient information interaction center that clearly displays vehicle status and driving data. The air outlet adopts a unique geometric line design, which is different from the conventional circular or rectangular shape, adding a sense of design. The shift mechanism uses a lever-type electronic structure, with an operation logic close to the traditional manual transmission but actually electrically controlled, enhancing the driving pleasure.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with carbon-ceramic ventilated brake discs, six airbags, 360-degree panoramic imaging, cruise control, keyless start, frameless doors, electric rear wing, external power supply, LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, streaming rearview mirror, front seat heating and ventilation, automatic air conditioning, in-car fragrance and in-car air purifier, among other practical functions. The seats are wrapped in high-quality leather, with electric adjustment and driver’s seat memory functions, ensuring comfortable riding even during long-term driving. Higher-spec models add track-specific tuned chassis, track-specific exterior styling and track-specific customized interior, further enhancing track performance and exclusivity. In addition, it is equipped with AI trajectory traction system and multiple driving modes, meeting the needs of both daily driving and track experience.
Powertrain
As the first model based on GAC’s self-developed AEP3.0 pure electric platform, the Hyper SSR is equipped with a front and rear three-motor four-wheel drive system, with a front drive motor with a maximum power of 320 kW and a rear dual motor with a maximum power of 580 kW, achieving a combined maximum power of 900 kW (1225 horsepower) and a combined torque of 1230 Nm, with a peak wheel torque of up to 12000 Nm. It is paired with a two-speed four-in-one high-performance integrated motor drive and a 900V silicon carbide chip, realizing efficient power output. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 2.3 seconds for the standard version, and 1.9 seconds for the speed version and Ultimate track version, with an official top speed of 251 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a 74.69 kWh ternary lithium battery pack from China Innovation Aviation, adopting GAC’s self-developed magazine battery system safety technology, with a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 506 km. It supports ultra-fast charging technology, effectively shortening the charging time and improving usability. In addition, it is standard equipped with all-aluminum front and rear double wishbone independent suspension, SDC intelligent variable damping shock absorbers, ELSD electronic limited-slip differential and R-EPS steering gear, and applies AICS intelligent chassis system to optimize dynamic balance, improving response speed and realizing precise control during steering, which can cope with high-difficulty corner driving.
