Exterior Design
The BYD Yuan Pro adopts the brand’s iconic Dragon Face 3.0 design language, which is consistent with other models in BYD’s Dynasty series, featuring a closed grille that enhances the overall sense of the front fascia and effectively reduces wind resistance. It is equipped with sharp matrix headlights and distinctive LED daytime running lights, which not only improve driving safety but also add a fashionable touch to the vehicle. The rear is designed with unique abstract C-shaped taillights, and the external spare tire matched with a side-opening tailgate gives it a rugged off-road SUV style, while the integrated roof rails further enhance its practicality and sporty appearance[8]. The body is available in three vibrant color options: Vitality Pink, Vitality White, and Energy Gray, catering to the personalized needs of different consumers.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,375 mm in length, 1,785 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,535 mm, positioning it as a compact SUV that is flexible to shuttle in urban areas and convenient for parking. The interior space is outstanding for its class; the rear legroom is nearly two fists, and the headroom is ample, even comparable to some A-class SUVs, providing comfortable seating experience for both front and rear passengers. The rear seats feature a split-folding design, which not only increases flexibility for storage and seating but also expands the trunk volume to 1,210 liters when fully folded, meeting the needs of daily use and outdoor travel.
Interior Design
The BYD Yuan Pro is equipped with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch floating rotating central touchscreen, which is equipped with the DiLink 4.0 intelligent network connection system, delivering a clear visual experience and convenient operation. Interior color schemes include a newly added fresh blue two-tone color, as well as other classic options, which are fresh and bright, catering to the aesthetic needs of young consumers. The center console and door panels are wrapped in soft leather, and the leather multifunctional steering wheel and ergonomic seats enhance the overall comfort and texture of the interior.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, front dual airbags, front side airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions, ensuring basic driving safety and convenience. The higher-spec premium version adds Level 2 driver-assistance systems, 360-degree camera system, and VTOL mobile power station function with 3.3 kW external power output, as well as a retractable panoramic sunroof, further enhancing the vehicle’s intelligence, safety and practicality.
Powertrain
The BYD Yuan Pro is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor delivering a maximum power output of 70 kW and peak torque of 180 Nm[10]. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 9.5 seconds, providing smooth and responsive driving performance for daily urban commuting. The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s self-developed blade lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which is super safe and has a long service life, available in two capacity options: 38 kWh and 47.04 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 320 km and 401 km respectively.
In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% with a 60 kW DC fast charger, effectively relieving range anxiety. It also supports 7 kW AC slow charging, and is equipped with a third-generation intelligent battery temperature control management system, which ensures the battery works in an appropriate temperature range, improving battery life and adaptability in different climates.
