The Denza N8, positioned as a premium medium-to-large five-seat luxury SUV under Denza (a brand under BYD), inherits the brand’s family-style design language, featuring a sleek and robust overall silhouette that combines a sense of stability with dynamic vitality, integrating technology and luxury while highlighting practicality. It is equipped with sharp and sophisticated LED headlights, paired with a semi-closed large-size grille decorated with delicate chrome trim and a prominent brand logo in the center, presenting a noble and atmospheric visual effect while enhancing the vehicle’s front-face recognition. The side lines are smooth and powerful, with a straight waistline extending from the front fenders to the rear taillights, highlighting the vehicle’s slender and robust posture, while the lower feature lines and black wheel arch trim add a sense of layering and sportiness. The rear is equipped with stylish through-type LED taillights, matched with a subtle high-mounted spoiler and a refined rear bumper with chrome decoration, making the overall shape concise and grand. The body is available in multiple sophisticated color options, and offers various wheel styles, catering to the personalized needs of high-end family users and urban elite users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,949 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height, with a spacious wheelbase of 2,830 mm, belonging to the medium-to-large five-seat SUV category. Benefiting from the advanced platform technology, it maximizes the use of interior space—the large-curvature roof and full-view panoramic sunroof ensure sufficient headroom and interior lighting for front and rear passengers, while the reasonable body proportion design (with balanced front and rear overhangs) presents a stable and elegant style that combines luxury and practicality, perfectly meeting the needs of family long-distance travel and daily commutes.
Interior Design
The Denza N8 features a luxurious and comfortable interior design, adopting the “Elegant Harmony” design concept with a wrap-around layout and layered decorative panels, creating a relaxed and refined riding atmosphere similar to a home living room, which is the “elegant order aesthetics” advocated by the designer. It is equipped with a 50-inch AR-HUD, a 13.2-inch instrument screen, a 17.3-inch 2.5K central touchscreen and a 13.2-inch co-pilot expansion screen, forming a multi-screen interconnection system, powered by a high-performance chip, delivering a clear and smooth interactive experience. Interior color schemes include three options: Yunjin Rice (linen + off-white), Jinshan Brown (orange-brown) and Botany Gray, matched with large-area soft wrapping, delicate knitted velvet ceiling, seven-process treated transparent real wood trim and metal organ-style pedals, highlighting the premium texture and comfort. The cabin is equipped with multi-level noise reduction technology, with double-layer sound-insulating glass and three-layer door seals, creating a library-level quiet environment, paired with a 20-speaker Devialet audio system and Dolby Atmos, bringing an immersive audio experience.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 19-inch wheels, 9 airbags, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions, as well as high-speed tire blowout stability control, crosswind stability control system and wheel looseness monitoring system to ensure driving safety. The higher-spec models add advanced intelligent driving assistance functions and roof-mounted lidar, enhancing driving safety and convenience. It also features multiple efficient storage spaces, a 540L trunk (which can be expanded to 1,600L by folding the rear seats) and a 51L underfloor storage compartment, as well as an 11L intelligent heating and cooling refrigerator. The seats are highly comfortable: the front seats are equipped with ventilation, heating and massage functions, and the front co-pilot is available with a zero-gravity seat with 4-way electric leg rest; the rear seats are spacious and comfortable, supporting multi-angle backrest adjustment, ensuring a comfortable riding experience for all passengers.
Powertrain
The Denza N8 is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) built on the Yisanfang platform, equipped with a powerful hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T plug-in hybrid engine with a maximum power of 152 kW and dual electric motors (front 160 kW, rear 200 kW), adhering to BYD’s fifth-generation DM plug-in hybrid technology to provide a smooth, powerful and fuel-efficient driving experience. It adopts a dual-motor all-wheel drive layout, with a combined peak torque of 680 Nm, delivering strong acceleration performance, an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds, and is equipped with high-performance brakes, achieving excellent braking performance. In addition, it is equipped with rear-wheel independent steering with a maximum steering angle of ±10°, achieving a minimum turning radius of 4.6 meters, making it easy to drive in urban roads and narrow spaces.
The vehicle is equipped with a plug-in hybrid dedicated blade battery made of lithium iron phosphate material, which has the characteristics of high safety, high performance and high durability, and has passed the national mandatory standard full-item test. The battery pack supports a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 216 km, meeting daily commuting needs with one charge lasting a week. With a full tank of fuel and a full charge, the CLTC combined range reaches an impressive 1,200 km, completely eliminating range anxiety for long trips. The fuel consumption under depleted battery conditions is only 7.1 L/100 km, achieving a balance between power and fuel economy. The battery pack is protected by multiple safety measures such as nano-scale aerogel insulation walls to ensure safety and durability during daily use, and supports convenient charging methods to meet the needs of different usage scenarios.
