Exterior Design
The Mazda EZ-6 inherits the brand’s classic “Kodo” design philosophy and combines it with a new electrified aesthetic, featuring smooth and sleek body lines, a sporty liftback silhouette, and a subtly sloped roofline that enhances its dynamic posture. The front fascia adopts a closed grille design, retaining the brand’s iconic “Mazda Wing” which is equipped with a luminous function, paired with split headlight units and a sleek continuous LED light strip, maintaining strong family recognition while boosting a distinct sense of technology. The uniquely shaped air ducts on both sides not only optimize aerodynamic performance but also add a touch of sharpness to the overall front-end design.
The rear is fitted with a continuous tail light assembly, and the two tail light units incorporate four circular barrel-shaped lamp groups, paying tribute to the brand’s classic design and ensuring high recognition when lit at night. A sleek rear spoiler enhances the sporty appeal, while the extensive black cladding at the bottom improves visual stability. The body is available in multiple color options, and some models are equipped with an electric rear wing and a liftback tailgate for added practicality and style. Additionally, it comes with hidden door handles, frameless doors and 19-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, further elevating the vehicle’s overall quality and sporty vibe.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,921 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,895 mm. As a mid-size sedan, this dimension offers ample interior space for both front and rear passengers. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 479 to 1,174 liters, and the rear seats feature a flexible folding design, which increases storage and seating flexibility to meet diverse usage needs.
Interior Design
The Mazda EZ-6 features a cockpit-centered design, with a cohesive layout of the instrument panel and door panels that creates a comfortable and immersive driving environment. It is equipped with a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, which displays clearly and operates smoothly, paired with a user-friendly intelligent connectivity system that supports navigation, multimedia entertainment and voice control functions. The interior uses a large number of soft materials and Alcantara suede, complemented by a flat-bottomed sporty steering wheel with red stitching, enhancing both tactile and visual enjoyment.
Interior color schemes include elegant options such as Egret White and Sika Brown, catering to personalized preferences. The seats adopt ergonomic design with Nappa leather craftsmanship and diamond quilting, providing excellent support and wrapping, along with 10-way electric adjustment, 3-speed heating and ventilation functions. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 19-inch wheels, front and rear side airbags, a rearview camera, cruise control, and other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds advanced configurations such as Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, a 3.3 kW external power output function, and a 14-speaker Sony sound system, delivering a more luxurious and comfortable driving experience.
Powertrain
The Mazda EZ-6 offers two powertrain options: pure electric and extended-range, both equipped with a rear-mounted single electric motor and a single-speed electric transmission, continuing Mazda’s “Jinba Ittai” driving DNA. The pure electric version has a maximum power output of 190 kW and peak torque of 320 Nm, with an official top speed of 170 km/h. It is available with 56.1 kWh and 68.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 480 km and 600 km respectively. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 15 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
The extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5L range extender with a maximum power of 70 kW and a rear-mounted single electric motor with a maximum power of 160 kW. It is paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering CLTC pure electric ranges of 130 km and 200 km, and a maximum comprehensive range of 1,301 km, completely eliminating range anxiety. Both versions adopt rear-wheel drive, delivering linear power output and sensitive handling, ensuring a comfortable and sporty driving experience.
