Exterior Design
The AION RT adopts the brand’s latest design language, featuring a sleek and dynamic front fascia with a closed grille that seamlessly connects to the split LED headlights. Its distinctive “Dragon Eye” headlights are rounded and three-dimensional, paired with slender daytime running lights that enhance the vehicle’s sense of technology and recognition. The rear is equipped with slim smoked taillights, and the smooth fastback silhouette runs from the roof to the rear, creating an elegant and sporty stance. The body is optimized for aerodynamics, achieving an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.208Cd, while the hidden electric door handles further streamline the body lines. The body is available in seven color options: Holographic Silver, Night Shadow Black, Corona Red, Moonlight Rice, Polar White, Crystal Purple, and Sea Glow Gray.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,865 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The rear seat height reaches 320 mm and the legroom is 943 mm, offering comfort comparable to mid-size sedans. The front and rear seats feature a one-touch flat-folding design, which not only improves flexibility for storage and seating but also easily converts into a 1.8-meter “bed mode” suitable for camping.
Interior Design
The AION RT features a minimalist interior design, equipped with a slim digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen, delivering a concise and advanced visual experience. The interior is wrapped in a large area of soft materials, with 100% leather wrapping in high-frequency contact areas, ensuring a comfortable touch. Interior color schemes include Black, Black + Orange, and Black + Beige, catering to diverse personalized preferences. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, front side airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec models add Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, a 360-degree camera system, and a 6 kW external power output, as well as front seat heating and ventilation functions.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a panoramic dual sunroof with electric dual sunshades that can be opened and closed in sections, and a 5.1-channel audio system consisting of 11 high-fidelity speakers, bringing an excellent in-car experience. The center console draws inspiration from the “Fallingwater House”, with a wireless charging panel built in below the air vents, combining practicality and aesthetics.
Powertrain
The AION RT is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, available in two power versions. The standard version delivers a maximum power output of 150 kW and peak torque of 240 Nm, while the high-performance version offers a maximum power of 165 kW and peak torque of 240 Nm. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 163 km/h. The AION RT comes standard with CATL lithium iron phosphate battery packs, available in two capacities: 55.1 kWh and 68.1 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 520 km and 650 km respectively. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 24 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and charging for 10 minutes can supplement 160 km to 200 km of range depending on the battery version.
