Exterior Design

The Dongfeng Aeolus L7 adopts the “Light Journey” design language, focusing on the integration of sportiness and technology, with a concise and sleek overall shape that highlights the characteristics of new energy vehicles. Its front fascia features a closed grille paired with a starry rhythmic through-type LED light strip, and the triangular LED headlights connected with chrome trim strips, along with the distinctive “little tiger tooth” daytime running lights, create a high-recognition and futuristic visual effect. The side of the body is equipped with smooth and dynamic lines, hidden door handles and low-drag wheels, combined with a floating blackened roof and a溜背 shape to create a coupe SUV posture, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.28. The rear is equipped with a through-type rhythmic taillight with dynamic turn signals, matched with a light-chasing rear wing, which not only enhances the sporty atmosphere but also optimizes aerodynamic performance. The body is available in a variety of color options, including Singularity White and Particle Gold, and the two-tone body design further highlights the youthful vitality.

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,685 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,617 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The interior provides ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers, and the rear legroom exceeds two fists, effectively reducing riding fatigue during long journeys. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which greatly improves the flexibility of seating and storage; when folded down, the depth can reach 2.1 meters, easily accommodating camping equipment, strollers and other large items, meeting the needs of family travel and outdoor activities.

Interior Design

The Dongfeng Aeolus L7 is equipped with a smart dual-screen combination consisting of a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen, built with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, which supports 300-millisecond fast voice response and completes 8 commands within 10 seconds, bringing a smooth and advanced human-vehicle interaction experience. The interior adopts a wrap-around layout, with a dashboard covered with搪塑, leather stitching and laser-patterned panels, showing a premium texture in every detail. It is equipped with ambient lights (up to 128 colors in high-spec versions) and NAPPA texture seats, creating a comfortable and technological interior atmosphere. The interior color schemes include classic Black, elegant Beige, and fashionable two-tone combinations, catering to the personalized needs of different consumers.

In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds Level 2+ driver-assistance systems with 28 auxiliary functions, a 360-degree camera system, power-adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, 50W wireless fast charging, and an electric tailgate, as well as the WindLink OS 3.0 intelligent cockpit that supports four-zone voice recognition, further enhancing safety, comfort and convenience.

Powertrain

The Dongfeng Aeolus L7 offers both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric (BEV) versions to meet different travel needs. The PHEV version is equipped with a front-mounted 1.5T turbocharged hybrid-specific engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a combined power of 265 kW and a combined torque of 615 Nm, paired with a 4-speed DHT hybrid-specific transmission, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds and an official top speed of 170 km/h. It is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric range of up to 205 km and a comprehensive range of up to 1500 km. The BEV version is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum power of up to 160 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, paired with a fixed-ratio transmission, with a CLTC pure electric range of up to 518 km. Both versions can be charged from 30% to 80% in about 28 minutes in fast-charging mode, and the PHEV version supports 3.3 kW external power output, providing convenience for outdoor camping.
