Exterior Design
The NIO ET9 adopts a majestic and futuristic design language that inherits the brand’s family-style aesthetics, combining executive flagship luxury with cutting-edge technological sense, featuring a sleek front fascia with a closed grille paired with a through-type light strip that enhances the horizontal visual width, highlighting its pure electric identity. It is equipped with the iconic split-type LED headlights, which are paired with sharp LED daytime running lights to form a distinctive visual effect, and stylish through-type LED taillights that echo the front lights, forming a coherent and unified design language. The rear is equipped with an electric sporty rear spoiler, which not only enhances the overall sense of luxury but also optimizes aerodynamic performance. The vehicle comes standard with 22-inch multi-spoke sail alloy wheels, while the higher-spec version is equipped with 23-inch forged bright black alloy wheels, and is equipped with hidden door handles and frameless doors to further reduce wind resistance. The body is available in 8 color options, including the exclusive Midnight Mirror Ceramic Blue, as well as Cloud White, Deep Space Black, Moonlight Silver, Antarctic Star Blue, Dawn Gold, M42 Nebula Red and Star Green, to meet diverse user preferences.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,325 mm in length, 2,017 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. Its well-proportioned large executive sedan posture and sleek fastback body lines create a majestic and elegant appearance, perfectly balancing executive luxury and visual appeal. It adopts a 4-door 4-seat layout, adhering to the high-end executive travel space design to ensure the most comfortable riding experience for front and rear passengers. The vehicle is equipped with a practical front trunk, and the reasonable storage space design throughout the vehicle easily accommodates daily necessities, business luggage and travel items, meeting the diverse needs of daily commuting and long-distance business trips. The long wheelbase also ensures ample legroom and headroom for front and rear passengers, enhancing riding comfort to the greatest extent.
Interior Design
The NIO ET9 features a luxurious and sophisticated wrap-around cockpit design, equipped with a full-focus AR head-up display system, a 15.6-inch floating AMOLED central touchscreen and a through-type sky screen, forming an intelligent interactive design with two 14.5-inch rear executive screens and one 8-inch multi-function control screen that delivers a concise and high-tech visual experience. It operates smoothly supported by the NIO self-developed SkyOS·Tianshu vehicle system (equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip) and the NT.Cedar Cedar 1.3.0 system, with 50+ experience upgrades in four major areas. Interior color schemes include three themes: Peak, Exploration and Long Voyage, paired with large-area high-grade Nappa leather wrapping, imported pure wool carpets, inlaid aluminum real wood decorative panels and exquisite metal decorative strips, creating a luxurious, quiet and comfortable cockpit texture that caters to high-end executive users’ preferences. It is also equipped with a large-size panoramic sunroof to bring a more open visual experience to the cockpit.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with a new rectangular steering wheel with a column-mounted shift mechanism, Nappa leather seats, dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a 360-degree panoramic camera, ambient light, a 35-speaker audio system with 8.2.4.8 channels, a 10L electric opening refrigerator, executive tables, 7 rear sunshades, as well as high-level intelligent driving assistance systems including high-speed and urban full-scene navigation-assisted driving (supported by Aqulia 2.0 Eagle Seat Super Sensing System with 3 lidar), supporting multiple complex driving scenarios and enhancing convenience and safety. It also has front 22-way electric adjustable seats and rear 20-way electric adjustable seats, with front 14-point and rear 16-point hot stone massage functions.
Powertrain
The NIO ET9 is a pure electric executive flagship sedan based on the NIO NT3.0 platform, equipped with the NIO self-developed 900V silicon carbide power module and full-domain 900V three-electric technology, adopting a dual-motor four-wheel drive system composed of a front 180kW induction asynchronous motor and a rear 340kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. The comprehensive power output reaches 520 kW (about 707 horsepower) and the peak torque is 700 N·m, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with smooth power output and an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.1 seconds, presenting outstanding performance that breaks the stereotype of large executive sedans.
The vehicle is standardly equipped with a 102 kWh ternary lithium battery pack provided by CATL, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 650 km (22-inch wheels) and 620 km (23-inch wheels) respectively. It supports fast charging, slow charging and battery swapping functions, with a peak charging power of up to 600 kW, which can supplement 255 km of range in 5 minutes of fast charging, and can be charged from 30% to 80% in fast-charging mode. It also supports 3-minute automatic fast battery swapping, which is faster than refueling, and its self-developed boost technology is compatible with 500V-1000V public fast charging piles. It is also equipped with the SkyRide·Tianxing intelligent chassis system integrating steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering and full active suspension, with a comprehensive power consumption of 13.5 kWh/100km under CLTC working conditions, perfectly balancing power performance and energy efficiency.
