The Changan Oshan 520 adopts the brand’s family-style design language, based on Changan Eado and adjusted for electric vehicle characteristics, presenting a simple, elegant and practical style that caters to the needs of family and daily commuting users. Its front fascia features a borderless grille with a grid-like interior decoration, which is highly recognizable and adds a sense of refinement to the front face. The headlight group adopts a flat shape with a blackened treatment, showing a sharp visual effect, and integrates with the grille to form a coherent overall shape. The lower surround adopts a three-section design, with vertically arranged air guide grooves on both sides of the fenders to optimize aerodynamic performance, and a large trapezoidal air intake at the bottom, which is also decorated with a grid structure to enhance the layering and sportiness of the front face.
The side profile of the body is sleek and neat, with a slightly roof line that adds a touch of dynamism without compromising interior space. The rounded waistline adopts a through-type design, which enriches the layering of the body side; the wheel arches and side skirts are designed with raised ribs, presenting a certain sense of muscle. The wheels adopt a simple dual five-spoke design, which complements the overall elegant style. At the rear, a small ducktail spoiler is designed on the top of the trunk, and the blackened taillight group is flat and adopts a through-type design, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the rear. The tailgate is decorated with raised ribs, and the lower surround is equipped with a three-dimensional black decorative panel, with flat fog lights integrated on both sides, forming a good echo with the front design. The seats are made of imitation leather material, with good wrapping and support; the driver’s seat is equipped with electric adjustment, heating and ventilation functions, which are quite rare in the same price range and greatly improve riding comfort. The motor has a maximum power of 105 kW (143 horsepower) and a peak torque of 190 N·m, providing smooth and sufficient power output for daily driving, ensuring a comfortable driving experience in urban roads and suburban roads. It is matched with a single-speed electric transmission (fixed-ratio transmission) with electronic column-mounted shift, which has the advantages of smooth shifting and high transmission efficiency, bringing a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The vehicle is standardly equipped with a 56 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 515 km, which can fully meet the needs of daily commuting and short-distance travel; some sources show that the CLTC range can reach 520 km, achieving a good balance between range and practicality. In fast-charging mode, it only takes about 24 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% (0.4 hours), which effectively solves the anxiety of electric vehicle charging. It also supports slow charging and is equipped with a battery temperature management system with low-temperature heating function, which ensures the stability of battery performance in different environments. In addition, the vehicle supports battery swapping and has a power equivalent fuel consumption of only 1.44 L/100km, showing excellent energy-saving performance.
