Exterior Design
The Beijing BJ60e, as BAIC Off-road’s flagship hard-core off-road extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), inherits the brand’s iconic “Tough Power Aesthetics” design language, which perfectly blends rugged off-road genes with modern luxury elements. Distinct from the sleek styling of Arcfox models, the BJ60e presents a dominant and sturdy posture, focusing on off-road practicality while incorporating futuristic touches.
The front fascia features a large, angular closed grille with a diamond-embossed decorative panel, paired with sharp split-type LED headlights and high-mounted “Warrior” daytime running lights, creating a strong visual recognition. The squared body lines and wide-track stance highlight its off-road identity, while the short front and rear overhangs (length 5,040 mm, width 1,955 mm, height 1,925 mm, wheelbase 2,800 mm) optimize approach and departure angles. The side is equipped with concealed door handles, 20-inch alloy wheels matched with 275/55 R20 all-terrain tires, and bold wheel arch trim, balancing fashion and off-road durability.
The rear adopts a through-type LED taillight group, integrated with the BAIC logo, and a rugged rear bumper with an optional external spare tire, enhancing the off-road atmosphere. The body is available in a variety of colors, including Glacier White, Deep Sea Blue, Starry Black, Desert Yellow, and Off-road Exclusive Green, catering to the aesthetic needs of both off-road enthusiasts and family users. Key off-road parameters include an approach angle of 30°, departure angle of 24°, minimum ground clearance of 215 mm, and maximum wading depth of 800 mm, easily conquering complex road conditions such as rocky roads, mud pits, and shallow water crossings.
Interior Design & Space
The interior of the BJ60e combines hard-core off-road texture with family-friendly luxury, focusing on comfort, practicality, and intelligent experience. It offers 5-seat and 7-seat layout options to meet the travel needs of different family groups. The cockpit is equipped with a “six-screen linkage” system, including a 12.3-inch full-LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, and a 9-inch air conditioning control screen, powered by the Qualcomm 8155 chip to support multi-screen interaction, voice control, and smooth operation.
The interior is wrapped with a large area of Nappa leather and suede materials, with exquisite stitching craftsmanship, and equipped with 256-color ambient lights and a 10-speaker high-fidelity audio system, creating a premium cabin atmosphere. The front seats support 16-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions, ensuring long-distance travel comfort. For family care, the 7-seat version provides ample headroom and legroom in the second and third rows, with the rear seats adopting a 4/6 split-folding design to expand the trunk capacity from 503L to 1,832L, easily meeting the storage needs of outdoor camping and family travel.
Exclusive to the top-of-the-line Executive Edition: it is equipped with altitude-adaptive oxygen generation technology (medical-grade oxygen production standard), which can stably provide oxygen concentration above 90% at an altitude of 5,000 meters, solving the problem of hypoxia in high-altitude off-road areas.
Powertrain & Range
The BJ60e is equipped with a “1.5T Magic Core intelligent range extender + dual-motor intelligent electric four-wheel drive” powertrain, achieving a perfect balance of off-road performance and new energy efficiency. The 1.5T four-cylinder range extender has a maximum power of 138 kW and a rated power generation power of 90 kW, with a power generation efficiency of up to 97.5%, ensuring stable power supply even in high-altitude areas without power attenuation.
The front and rear dual motors deliver a combined maximum power of 403 kW (548 hp) and a peak torque of 655 N·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h, bringing strong off-road acceleration performance. It is equipped with a 40.3 kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 152 km (WLTC 125 km). With an 82L large fuel tank, the CLTC comprehensive range reaches 1,200 km, completely eliminating long-distance travel energy anxiety.
In terms of energy consumption, the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 1.43 L/100 km, and the WLTC fuel consumption in the low-charge state is 8.42 L/100 km, which is economical and practical. Charging support: DC fast charging can charge from 30% to 80% in 0.5 hours; it also supports 3.5 kW AC external discharge and 6 kW DC external discharge (V2L/V2V), easily meeting the power demand of outdoor camping and emergency power supply.
Off-road Capability & Driving Assistance
As a hard-core off-road SUV built on a body-on-frame chassis, the BJ60e is equipped with a “triple full-domain four-wheel drive” system, including intelligent electric four-wheel drive, intelligent electric middle lock, and rear axle electronically controlled dog-ring mechanical differential lock, with 12-speed crawling mode and tactical turning function, achieving professional off-road control. It is matched with the ATS all-terrain system, supporting 11 driving modes such as Economy, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock, and Wading, adapting to various complex road conditions.
The whole vehicle uses high-strength steel accounting for 96% of the material, with an embedded metal roll cage, ensuring excellent safety protection in off-road scenarios. The front suspension is a double-transverse arm independent suspension, and the rear suspension is a multi-link independent suspension, with the “Tai Chi” flexible off-road chassis architecture, improving ride comfort while maintaining off-road durability.
In terms of intelligence, it is equipped with L2.5-level intelligent driving assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and 360° panoramic imaging, with more than 20 safety functions, making daily travel and off-road driving safer. The intelligent voice control system can quickly control air conditioning, audio, navigation, and other functions, improving driving safety.
