The Beijing BJ60 Thunder Magic Core Electric Drive Edition is a hybrid model launched by BAIC, which officially went on sale on August 20, 2024. The model features a 1.5T engine serving as a range extender, paired with a ternary lithium-ion battery pack containing nickel, cobalt, and manganese. The range extender delivers a maximum power output of 138 kW, while the all-electric range is supported by a 40.3 kWh battery pack. A dedicated charging port is located on the rear right side of the vehicle.

Exterior Design

The Beijing BJ60e adopts extended-range hard-core SUV design language, equipped with a five-hole front grille and LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with LED taillight groups and rear bumper protective trim. It is available in multiple body color options, including Glacier White, Obsidian Black, Desert Silver, Jungle Green and Lake Blue. The model supports 19-inch and 20-inch wheel configurations for different versions.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5040 mm in length, 1955 mm in width, and 1925 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. The model adopts a 5-door 5-seater and 5-door 7-seater layout options. The vehicle is fitted with electrically adjustable exterior mirrors as standard.

Interior Design

The Beijing BJ60e is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central floating touchscreen. Partial versions are fitted with a 12.8-inch passenger entertainment screen. Interior color schemes include Black, Black-Brown and Blue-White, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and automatic constant temperature air conditioning.
In terms of configurations, the standard model is equipped with front and side airbags, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, and constant-speed cruise control. It comes with keyless entry, one-key start and wireless phone charging function. The high-spec version is fitted with a 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system.

Powertrain

The Beijing BJ60e is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder range extender and front and rear dual electric motors, matched with a single-speed electric transmission. The range extender delivers a maximum power of 138 kW. The dual-motor four-wheel drive layout outputs a comprehensive maximum power of 403 kW and peak torque of 655 Nm. The electronically limited top speed of the vehicle is 180 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with a 40.3 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. The CLTC pure electric cruising range is 152 km. The model supports DC fast charging function, engine start-stop and energy recovery functions.
