Exterior Design
The Dongfeng Aeolus SKY EV01 adopts a new energy minimalist design language, positioning as a high-end compact pure electric SUV that integrates practicality, intelligence and modern aesthetics. It is built on the “Mahe E” aluminum-based lightweight platform, with a sleek and dynamic overall shape that balances fashion sense and aerodynamic performance. Its front fascia features a closed grille, which is simple and atmospheric, paired with slender triangular LED headlights, and the bright black vertical air guide slots on both sides of the headlight group are not only decorative but also can guide air flow to the front wheels, optimizing aerodynamic efficiency. The through-type daytime running lights enhance the vehicle’s visual recognition, creating a sharp and fashionable front face.
The side profile has straight and stable lines, with a slightly sloping roof that presents a coupe-like visual effect, matching the 18-inch two-tone five-star wheels, showing a sporty temperament. The A-pillars, B-pillars, window edges, wheel arches and side skirts are treated with black coating, enhancing the sense of layering. The vehicle is equipped with fully hidden door handles, which not only improves the overall sense of integration but also reduces wind resistance. The rear design echoes the front face, with an arc-shaped through-type taillight group, and the brake lights on both sides adopt a dot matrix light source layout; the high-mounted brake light is designed with a vertical light strip similar to a racing warning light, paired with a sporty rear spoiler, making the rear shape full of details and dynamics. The body is available in three color options: Ceramic White, Porcelain Blue and Ink Black, meeting the diverse aesthetic needs of different users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,670 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,613 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, providing ample space for the passenger compartment. The vehicle has a drag coefficient of 0.3Cd, which helps improve energy efficiency and cruising range. It is also equipped with practical configurations such as roof luggage rack and electric tailgate (optional), and the rear seats support 40:60 split-folding, which can further expand the storage space, easily meeting the needs of daily commuting and outdoor activities.
Interior Design
The Dongfeng Aeolus SKY EV01 adopts a wrapped cockpit design, with a simple and technological overall layout, focusing on practicality and comfort. The interior is mainly decorated with simple lines, and the center console is equipped with a vertical central touchscreen and a full LCD instrument cluster, with almost no redundant physical buttons except for the multi-function steering wheel, creating a clean and neat visual effect. It adopts an electronic column shifter design, so there are only mobile phone storage slots, water cup holders and armrest boxes under the central touchscreen, which is practical and space-saving. The interior is wrapped with high-quality materials, and the overall atmosphere is warm and comfortable, suitable for daily use and long-distance travel.
The interior is available in two color schemes: Deep Black and Gray White, catering to different personalized preferences. The whole vehicle adopts a 5-seat layout, and the seats are wrapped in leather or imitation leather materials, ensuring comfort and support. The driver’s seat supports 6-way electric adjustment (optional), and the rear seats are spacious and comfortable, with a flat floor design that optimizes the riding experience of middle passengers. The rear seats can be folded in proportion, which greatly improves the flexibility of the trunk space and can easily accommodate large items.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with practical functions such as vehicle networking, Bluetooth phone, automatic air conditioning, rear air vents, front dual airbags, rear parking sensors and rearview camera. It also has convenient configurations including multiple USB and Type-C interfaces, keyless entry and keyless start. The higher-spec version is equipped with a 10.4-inch vertical central touchscreen, 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster, WindLink OS intelligent vehicle system, supporting voice recognition, OTA upgrade and mobile phone APP remote control. It also adds configurations such as cruise control, automatic parking, in-car fragrance system and panoramic sunroof, further improving driving convenience and riding comfort.
Powertrain
The Dongfeng Aeolus SKY EV01 is a pure electric vehicle, equipped with a front-mounted single electric motor, providing two power options. The low-power version has a maximum power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 240 N·m, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8.7 to 9.2 seconds. The high-power version has a maximum power of 160 kW and a peak torque of 310 N·m, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 6.9 seconds, delivering strong and smooth dynamic performance. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 160 km/h, adapting to various urban and suburban driving scenarios.
The vehicle is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery packs of different capacities, providing multiple CLTC pure electric cruising range options: 445 km, 520 km and 530 km. The battery adopts the industry’s first square CTP module-less mass-produced battery technology, with 3% higher energy density than conventional batteries. The vehicle has a low power consumption of only 12.8 kWh per 100 km, achieving excellent energy efficiency. It supports both DC fast charging and AC slow charging; in fast-charging mode, it takes about 28 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and charging for 8 minutes can supplement 100 km of cruising range. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a V2L external discharge function, which can be used as a mobile power station to meet the power needs of outdoor camping and mobile office, and even realize vehicle-to-vehicle charging to help other vehicles in need.
