The BYD Tang L features the “Loong Face” design language, boasting a powerful aesthetic and a 7-seat layout. It offers a choice of 20- or 21-inch low-drag wheels, along with an active grille shutter and hidden door handles to optimize aerodynamics. The rear features the Dynasty family’s signature Chinese knot-inspired full-width taillights. The hybrid model is equipped with fifth-generation DM technology, featuring a 1.5T hybrid-specific engine with a maximum power output of 115kW and an electric motor with 200kW of power.

Exterior Design

The BYD Tang L DM is a mid-size and large plug-in hybrid SUV, equipped with a polygon front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with through-type LED taillight groups and aerodynamic rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 20-inch wheel configurations. Partial versions are fitted with roof-mounted lidar sensors and semi-hidden door handles. A panoramic sunroof is equipped as standard.
The vehicle adopts a 5-door 7-seater layout. The body dimensions are 5040 mm in length, 1996 mm in width and 1760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and electric tailgate are standard configurations.

Interior Design

The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry, one-key start and NFC vehicle key functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging and OTA upgrade functions.

Powertrain

The BYD Tang L DM is equipped with a 1.5T inline four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine and permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, matched with E-CVT transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 115 kW. The single-motor two-wheel drive version has a maximum motor power of 200 kW. The dual-motor four-wheel drive version has a comprehensive system maximum power of 400 kW and a peak torque of 670 Nm.
The vehicle is equipped with blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The CLTC pure electric cruising range covers 175 km, 200 km and 215 km for different versions, with a CLTC comprehensive cruising range up to 1430 km. It supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery system and full terrain driving modes.
