The Volkswagen T-CROSS adopts the brand’s classic family-style design language, inheriting rigorous German craftsmanship while integrating lively and fashionable elements that fit the subcompact SUV positioning. It features a compact and dynamic front fascia, with an integrated design of a black honeycomb grille and a narrow LED light strip, which is seamlessly connected with the halogen or LED headlights (depending on the trim level), creating a simple yet sophisticated visual effect. The distinctive linear daytime running lights and symmetrical through-type taillights with clear light layers further highlight its unique identity. The side of the body is equipped with smooth and concise waistlines, connecting the compact wheel arches and solid wheel shoulders to highlight its lively and tough SUV posture, while the silver roof rails and chrome-decorated exhaust further enhance its refined temperament. The body is available in three color options: Pure White, Reflex Silver, and Deep Black.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,218 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 1,599 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. The interior legroom and headroom are well-designed, and the overall interior space is compact yet practical, perfectly meeting the needs of daily commuting and small family use. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which not only improves the flexibility of storage and seating but also expands the trunk space from 329 liters to 1,319 liters (for the comfort version), easily accommodating items such as luggage and small camping gear for travel or daily use.
Interior Design
The Volkswagen T-CROSS is equipped with a digital instrument cluster (10.25-inch full LCD for higher-spec versions, dual-circular analog for standard models) and a 6.5-inch or 8-inch central touchscreen, forming a practical connected cockpit that delivers a comfortable visual experience and convenient operation. Interior color schemes include All Black, Black with Beige, and Black with Red stitching, catering to different personalized and usage scenarios. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, cruise control, and full-window one-touch lift, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds active braking, a rearview camera, a panoramic sunroof, and front seat heating, as well as a Beats sound system for an enhanced audio experience.
The interior adopts high-quality materials, with a reasonable combination of hard plastic and soft wrapping, and the surface of the plastic parts is treated with simulated leather texture to avoid a cheap feeling. The center console follows the classic T-shaped ergonomic design, with reserved physical knobs for air conditioning that facilitate blind operation during driving. The interior is equipped with multiple storage spaces, including a storage grid in front of the gearshift, cup holders, and door panels that can hold water bottles, bringing great convenience to daily use. The front seats adopt sporty integrated designs, with comfortable padding and appropriate support, effectively reducing driving fatigue during long trips. Most models are equipped with a panoramic sunroof, which increases the interior brightness and creates a more spacious visual feeling.

The Volkswagen T-CROSS offers a variety of powertrain options to meet different driving needs. It is available with 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5T turbocharged engines, paired with 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic transmission, or 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission respectively. The 1.5L naturally aspirated engine delivers a maximum power output of 81 kW and peak torque of 141 Nm, focusing on fuel economy with a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption as low as 5.7 L/100km, perfectly suitable for daily urban commuting. The 1.5T turbocharged engine outputs a maximum power of 118 kW and peak torque of 250 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission, with a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 5.66 L/100km, balancing power and fuel economy.
The powertrain adopts mature technologies such as aluminum alloy cylinder blocks and Miller cycle technology (for 1.5T), which not only improve power response but also enhance fuel economy and durability. The transmission features smooth shifting and high transmission efficiency, and the shift logic is optimized for urban road conditions to reduce low-speed jitter. The whole powertrain system is stable and reliable, with excellent adaptability to urban commuting scenarios, providing a comfortable and fuel-efficient driving experience for users.
