Exterior Design
The AION Y adopts AION’s iconic “Younger” design language, featuring a dynamic and fashionable overall shape that integrates practicality and aesthetics, tailored for young users and family travel. It is equipped with a large-area closed front grille, with the prominent AION letter logo in the center, which is highly recognizable and perfectly connects to the integrated LED headlights on both sides. The headlights adopt a sharp and sleek shape, paired with slender daytime running lights that extend outward, enhancing the vehicle’s sense of technology and vitality. The front bumper is designed with a sporty air intake, decorated with glossy black trim, which not only optimizes aerodynamics but also adds a youthful touch. The side profile presents a full and rounded posture, with a single continuous waistline running from the front fender to the rear taillight, stretching the visual length of the body; the black-painted B-pillars and C-pillars create a floating roof effect, paired with exposed door handles and roof racks, balancing fashion and practicality. The rear is equipped with through-type LED taillights, which are highly recognizable when lit, and the sporty rear spoiler on the roof further enhances the dynamic sense; the simple rear bumper design, combined with hidden exhaust decoration, makes the overall shape more concise and atmospheric. The body is available in multiple color options, including Starry Black, Pearl White, Coral Red, Glacier Blue, and Sky Gray.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, creating a spacious interior space that exceeds the same class. The front and rear wheel tracks are reasonably designed, and the tire specifications are available in 215/60 R17 and 235/50 R18 to meet different usage needs. The rear floor is designed to be flat, maximizing the legroom for rear passengers; the rear seats support 40/60 split-folding and backrest angle adjustment, and can be fully folded down to form a large storage space, easily meeting the needs of daily commuting, family travel and cargo transportation.
Interior Design
The AION Y features a simple, practical and tech-savvy interior design, adopting a minimalist style that focuses on user experience, with a clean and neat center console layout. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen, which is equipped with the ADiGO 2.0 intelligent connected system, supporting voice control, CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar and other mobile phone connectivity functions, ensuring smooth operation and convenient interaction. The interior is wrapped in a large area of soft plastic materials and high-quality fabric seats, with delicate stitching craftsmanship, providing a comfortable touch; high-spec models are equipped with leather seats, front seat heating and ventilation functions, and the rear seats have a large seating space, suitable for long-distance rides. Interior color schemes include Black, Black + Gray, and Black + Beige, catering to diverse personalized preferences. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec models add Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, a 360-degree camera system, and a 6 kW external power output, as well as a panoramic sunroof and a rear-seat entertainment screen, enhancing the in-car experience.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 6-speaker audio system, providing clear sound quality; the center console is equipped with multiple storage spaces, including a mobile phone slot and a storage box, with part of the models supporting wireless charging, improving daily practicality. It also comes with mobile App remote control, one-key start, and automatic air conditioning, creating a comfortable and convenient in-car environment that balances practicality and intelligence.
Powertrain
The AION Y is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, available in two power versions. The standard version delivers a maximum power output of 150 kW and peak torque of 225 Nm, while the high-performance version offers a maximum power of 165 kW and peak torque of 330 Nm, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.6 seconds for the high-performance version and 8.5 seconds for the standard version. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 150 km/h. The AION Y is equipped with different capacity CATL lithium iron phosphate battery packs, including 60 kWh, 76.8 kWh and 80 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 510 km, 610 km and 680 km respectively. All models are equipped with a standard liquid-cooled temperature control system and battery preheating function; in fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and charging for 10 minutes can supplement a range of about 130 km, effectively alleviating range anxiety.
