The Sealion 06 is a midsize SUV launched by BYD’s Ocean Network on July 24, 2025. As the successor to the Song PLUS, it is available in two powertrain options: the DM-i plug-in hybrid and the EV all-electric version. The vehicle features Ocean Aesthetics design language and is available in five exterior color schemes and two interior color schemes. It measures 4,810 × 1,920 × 1,675 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm and a trunk capacity of 757 liters.

Exterior Design

The BYD Sealion 06 EV is a mid-size pure electric SUV, equipped with a closed front grille and split full LED headlight groups. LED taillight groups and aerodynamic rear bumper trim are equipped on the vehicle. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 19-inch wheel configurations. Partial versions are fitted with roof-mounted lidar sensors and semi-hidden door handles. A panoramic sunroof is equipped as standard.
The vehicle adopts a 5-door 5-seater layout. The body dimensions are 4810 mm in length, 1920 mm in width and 1675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and electric tailgate are standard configurations.

Interior Design

The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging, 3.3kW external vehicle discharge and OTA upgrade functions.

Powertrain

The BYD Sealion 06 EV is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, adopting rear-wheel drive layout and single-speed fixed-ratio electric transmission. The low-power version has a maximum motor power of 240 kW. The high-power version has a maximum motor power of 270 kW, with a peak torque of 305 Nm. The electronically limited top speed is 210 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with 69.07 kWh and 82.73 kWh blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs, corresponding to CLTC comprehensive cruising ranges of 605 km and 710 km respectively. It supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging, with 30%-80% fast charging completed in 18 minutes. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery and intelligent damping body control systems.
