Exterior Design
The AITO M8 adopts the family design language of AITO, integrating the “Kunpeng Leaping” and “Kirin Treading the Sea” design concepts, featuring a broad and enclosed front grille seamlessly connected with an 1.8-meter wing-shaped through-type light strip, and matrix LED headlights that enhance its luxurious and futuristic appearance. The rear is equipped with ISD intelligent interactive taillights that echo the front light strip, with a trapezoidal concave license plate area to strengthen the sense of layering, and a roof-integrated laser radar that perfectly combines technological functions with aesthetic design without damaging the overall body lines.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,190 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. The 18° approach angle and 20° departure angle ensure good passability. The body is available in seven color options: Gilded Black, Interstellar Blue, Pasture Green, Warm Cloud White, Night Purple, Sunset Glow, and Galaxy, catering to both business and personalized needs. The side of the body is equipped with hidden electric door handles and a floating roof, with a cross peak through waistline extending from the front to the rear, reducing the drag coefficient to 0.255cd, balancing dynamics and energy efficiency.
Interior Design
The AITO M8 is equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen and a 16-inch passenger entertainment screen, forming a three-screen combination that delivers an outstanding visual and interactive experience. It is equipped with the HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit, realizing seamless connection between multiple screens and mobile phones, and supporting convenient operations such as voice control and multi-command recognition. Interior color schemes are designed to match the vehicle’s positioning, with high-quality leather wrapping and exquisite stitching craftsmanship to enhance the sense of luxury.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 20-inch wheels, front and rear airbags, a 540-degree panoramic image with transparent chassis, keyless entry, and electric suction doors, among other practical functions. The higher-spec Ultra version adds HUAWEI XPIXEL million-pixel smart projection headlights, Level 2+ driver-assistance systems based on HUAWEI Kunlun Intelligent Driving ADS 4, as well as practical features such as a 9L rear storage box and a vehicle-mounted cooling and heating box that supports 0℃-15℃ cooling and 35-50℃ heating. The six-seat version is equipped with second-row zero-gravity seats, while the five-seat version has a flexible rear space that can be folded flat to form a pure flat storage area.
Powertrain
The AITO M8 offers two power options: extended-range and pure electric. The extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5T GDI four-cylinder range extender and front and rear dual electric motors, with a combined system power of 392 kW and a peak torque of 598 Nm, paired with an electric transmission, and an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 5.2 seconds and an official top speed of 200 km/h. It offers a CLTC comprehensive cruising range of up to 1,526 km, with a pure electric cruising range of 310 km for high-end models.
The pure electric version is based on Huawei’s 800V high-voltage platform, with the dual-motor four-wheel drive version delivering a maximum power of 387 kW and a peak torque of 597 Nm, also achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.2 seconds. It comes with a high-capacity battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated pure electric range of up to 705 km for the long-range version. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 15 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, ensuring efficient energy supplement.
