Exterior Design
The Avatr 12 inherits Avatr’s exclusive “Future Aesthetics” design concept, positioning itself as a futuristic intelligent luxury sedan that integrates the brand’s iconic design genes with a low-slung and dynamic coupe stance, presenting a distinctive and premium visual style. It features a bold front fascia dominated by an evolved active air intake grille, which not only reduces wind resistance and facilitates battery heat dissipation but also optimizes the front-end proportion visually. The vehicle is equipped with split-type headlights with larger lamp areas and a more inward layout, paired with signature LED daytime running lights, forming a cohesive and highly recognizable visual effect. The ultra-clear electronic exterior rearview mirrors (optional) offer a wider field of view and unobstructed visibility in extreme weather, while frameless doors and hidden door handles enhance the side profile’s integrity and sense of futurism. At the rear, the design is full and rounded, with slender LED taillights echoing the front headlights, complemented by a hidden electric rear spoiler, a liftback-style large opening, and a subtle rear diffuser, enhancing its sporty and refined stance. The body is available in multiple nature-inspired color options, including Obsidian Black, Pearly White, Dusk Red, and Luminous Gold, all adopting a high-process spraying technology that ensures a glossy, wear-resistant finish with rich color layers.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,450 mm to 1,460 mm (for different versions) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm, providing ample interior space for both front and rear passengers. The overall body adopts a low and wide stance with an excellent wheel-height ratio, paired with optional 20-inch or 21-inch sporty wheel hubs (including 21-inch beam multi-spoke and cyclone five-spoke styles) and a sleek fastback floating roof, creating an elegant and dynamic profile. The roof glass extends to the rear, balancing recognition and practicality, while the optional intelligent light-sensing color-changing sunroof allows passengers to enjoy the sky view while ensuring privacy and comfort, even on long journeys. Additionally, high-level auxiliary sensors are installed around the vehicle, with semi-solid-state lidar hidden in the black trim of the rear half of the left and right fenders, laying the foundation for intelligent driving.
Interior Design
The Avatr 12 boasts a luxurious and comfortable “theater-style luxury cockpit”, featuring a 360° surround design with full-cabin soft wrapping. High-frequency touch areas such as the center console, door panels, and pillars are extensively covered with high-quality soft materials, paired with a microfiber suede ceiling, premium NAPPA leather seats, and birch straight-grain wood trim, bringing a natural and delicate touch experience. It is equipped with a Huawei 4.0 intelligent cockpit system composed of a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic distant screen spanning the driver and passenger seats, a 15.6-inch Huawei 2K smart central control screen, and a 16-inch rear cabin floating sky screen, forming a multi-screen linkage design that realizes seamless device connection and delivers an outstanding intelligent visual and interactive experience. Interior color schemes are meticulously crafted, including the newly added Dusk Red theme and other personalized combinations, with low-saturation colors balancing luxury and subtlety, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with front and rear airbags (a total of 6 airbags including side airbags and curtain airbags), rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, intelligent electric doors (Ultra extended-range version), a high-efficiency sunshade for the panoramic sunroof, and front dual zero-gravity seats with heating, ventilation, and 8-point SPA-level massage functions, among other practical and luxurious functions. The higher-spec Ultra version adds Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving ADS 3.0 (or ADS 4.0 for 2026 four-laser versions), high-precision lidar (up to 896-line for new models), a 25-speaker Meridian Excellence sound system with a peak power of 2016W, as well as air suspension, CDC active damping shock absorbers, and magic carpet suspension function, further elevating the luxury, comfort, and intelligent experience. Additionally, the interior is equipped with multiple acoustic treatments to achieve all-round noise reduction, creating an ultra-quiet riding environment, while the rear seats feature dual one-meter “presidential-level” space and are also equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions, ensuring a first-class riding experience for all passengers.
Powertrain
The Avatr 12 offers diverse powertrain options of pure electric and extended-range to meet different driving needs. The pure electric version adopts a full-domain 800V silicon carbide platform: the single-motor (rear-wheel drive) version is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering a maximum power output of 237 kW and peak torque of 396 N·m, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.1 seconds and an official top speed of 215 km/h; the dual-motor (all-wheel drive) version has front and rear motor powers of 165 kW and 237 kW respectively, with a combined maximum power of 402 kW and peak torque of 687 N·m, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h. The extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5T extended-range engine, and the drive motor has a peak power of 231 kW (single-motor for rear-wheel drive), with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds and an official top speed of 190 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with different specifications of lithium battery packs: the pure electric version is matched with a 94.53 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 755 km for the single-motor version and 705 km for the dual-motor version; the extended-range version is equipped with a 39.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric cruising range of 245 km and a comprehensive cruising range of up to 1,155 km when fully fueled and charged. In fast-charging mode (up to 240 kW DC), it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, while the 11 kW AC on-board charging takes about 7-11 hours to fully charge, providing convenient charging options for daily use and long-distance travel. The battery pack adopts advanced thermal management technology, ensuring comprehensive safety protection, while the extended-range version has excellent fuel economy, and all models are equipped with a 3.3 kW external power output function (mobile power station), meeting diverse usage needs.
