The Song Ultra DM was officially unveiled by BYD on May 28, 2026, and features the company’s latest intelligent technology. The Song Ultra DM measures 4,850 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. It offers a spacious five-seat configuration and allows the front seats to be folded down with a single button, instantly transforming the interior into a spacious sleeping area. The trunk has a capacity of 730 liters, while the front storage compartment holds 150 liters.

Exterior Design

The BYD Song Ultra DM-i adopts mid-size luxury SUV design language with plug-in hybrid layout, equipped with a closed front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with through-type LED taillight groups and aerodynamic rear bumper trim. It supports multiple body color options including Salt Grey, Twilight Grey, White and Black. The model is equipped with 19-inch wheel configurations for all versions.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4850 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, and 1670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2840 mm. The model adopts a 5-door 5-seater layout. The vehicle is fitted with semi-hidden door handles and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors as standard.

Interior Design

The BYD Song Ultra DM-i is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen. The vehicle is equipped with Xuanji A3 vehicle chip. Interior color schemes include Salt Grey and Twilight Grey, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning.
In terms of configurations, the standard model is equipped with front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, and constant-speed cruise control. It comes with keyless entry, one-key start and mobile phone interconnection functions. The high-spec version is fitted with a 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging and OTA upgrade functions.

Powertrain

The BYD Song Ultra DM-i adopts the fifth-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid system, equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine and front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum power of 74 kW. The electric motor outputs a maximum power of 175 kW, and the system comprehensive maximum power is 221 kW. The vehicle adopts front-wheel drive layout, with an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs in 26.6 kWh and 38.0 kWh specifications. The CLTC pure electric cruising range covers 205 km and 310 km for different versions, with a CLTC comprehensive cruising range of 1845 km. It supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions. The model supports energy recovery functions.
