The Changan UNI-V is the first four-door coupe in Changan Automobile’s UNI series and was launched in February 2022. The vehicle measures 4,680 × 1,838 × 1,430 mm; the third-generation model has been lengthened to approximately 4,720 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. It features a fastback silhouette, an electric rear spoiler, and a borderless grille design. The third-generation model incorporates a “shark-nose biomimetic design” and achieves an optimized drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd.

Exterior Design

The Changan UNI-V adopts the brand’s unique “Future Pioneer Sporty Aesthetics” design language, which is consistent with other models in the UNI series, featuring a sleek and dynamic front fascia with a semi-closed shark-style design, integrated light eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights, and distinctive full-LED headlights that resemble Audi matrix headlights, creating a strong sense of future technology. The rear is equipped with a standard electric rear spoiler (which can provide up to 270N of downforce at high speeds), through-type LED taillights with inverted triangular light groups, and a redesigned rear bumper with a bilateral four-exhaust layout and a striking diffuser, further highlighting its sporty stance. The body is available in multiple color options, including single-color options such as Phantom Gray and Star Diamond Black, as well as two-tone options such as Moonlight White and Phantom Green, catering to the personalized aesthetic needs of young users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,838 mm in width, and 1,430 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. It adopts a “short overhang and long wheelbase” design and a low-lying body with a 0.78 height-width ratio, outlining a slender and dynamic posture. The interior space is reasonably arranged, and the front and rear headroom and legroom can well meet the needs of daily riding. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which can be expanded into a large storage space, and the hatchback electric tailgate with a large opening further enhances practicality, easily meeting the needs of daily commuting and travel storage.

Interior Design

The Changan UNI-V is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen, forming an integrated dual-screen interactive design that delivers an outstanding visual and technological experience. When switching to the track mode, the digital instrument cluster will switch to a triple-meter layout, displaying real-time turbo pressure, torque, G-force and other information. Interior color schemes include Flame Orange and Black, creating a strong sporty atmosphere that caters to the personalized preferences of young consumers. It is also equipped with a three-spoke flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel with orange stitching and shift paddles, enhancing the driving pleasure.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, front side airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec models add Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, 360-degree panoramic image, as well as practical features such as a panoramic sunroof, front wireless phone charging, and 256-color ambient light, further improving driving convenience and comfort. It is also equipped with integrated sports seats with seat heating/ventilation functions (for high-spec models), which are filled with high-quality foam to provide excellent wrapping and support.

Powertrain

The Changan UNI-V offers two powertrain options: a front-mounted Blue Whale 1.5T turbocharged engine and a 2.0T turbocharged engine. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power output of 141 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission; the 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 180 kW and peak torque of 400 Nm, paired with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the 2.0T version is only 6.3 seconds, and the top speed can reach 220 km/h, delivering strong dynamic performance.
The vehicle supports 92-octane gasoline, with a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.42 L/100 km for the 1.5T version and 7.11 L/100 km for the 2.0T version. Equipped with an i-EM intelligent energy management system, it can intelligently adjust the power output and transmission logic according to different driving conditions such as uphill, downhill and congestion, effectively improving fuel economy and driving smoothness. A 51L fuel tank enables a comprehensive cruising range of over 1,000 km, meeting the needs of daily commuting and long-distance travel.
