The Fulwin A8L is a compact plug-in hybrid sedan from Chery Automobile’s Fulwin series, which went on sale on December 17, 2024. The vehicle is equipped with the Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM 5.0 system, delivering a combined power output of 265 kW and 530 N·m of torque. It achieves a fuel consumption of 4.2 L/100 km under WLTC conditions, with a maximum CLTC electric range of 145 km. In real-world testing, the combined range with a full charge and a full tank of fuel exceeds 2,300 km.

Exterior Design

The Chery Fulwin A8L is a compact plug-in hybrid sedan, equipped with a polygonal front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with through-type LED taillight groups and rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 17-inch and 18-inch wheel configurations for different versions. Conventional door handles are equipped as standard. A panoramic sunroof is equipped as standard.
The vehicle adopts a 4-door 5-seater sedan layout. The body dimensions are 4790 mm in length, 1843 mm in width and 1487 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2790 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with heating and automatic folding functions are standard configurations. An electric charging port cover is equipped as standard.

Interior Design

The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and central control touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 540-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging, V2L external discharge and OTA upgrade functions.

Powertrain

The Chery Fulwin A8L adopts front-wheel drive layout, matched with dedicated hybrid DHT transmission. The vehicle is equipped with 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5T inline four-cylinder turbocharged hybrid-specific gasoline engines for different versions. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115 kW and a peak torque of 225 Nm. The vehicle is matched with front permanent magnet synchronous motors with a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The comprehensive system maximum power covers 225 kW and 265 kW for different versions, and the comprehensive system peak torque covers 435 Nm and 530 Nm for different versions.
The vehicle is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The CLTC pure electric cruising range covers 132 km and 145 km for different versions. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery system. The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension system.
