The Trumpchi GS8 is a midsize SUV produced by GAC Group, with dimensions of 4810 × 1910 × 1770 mm and a wheelbase of 2800 mm; The second-generation model was launched in December 2021. Built on the GPMA architecture, its dimensions have been increased to 4,980 × 1,950 × 1,780 mm (5,015 mm for the hybrid series), with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. It features dual front-end designs: the “Zhanwei Wing” and the “Dragon Scale Wing.”

Exterior Design

The GAC Trumpchi GS8 is a mid-large SUV, equipped with a front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with LED taillight groups and rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 18-inch and 19-inch wheel configurations for different versions. Conventional door handles are equipped as standard. A panoramic sunroof is equipped for partial versions.
The vehicle adopts a 5-door 5-seater and 5-door 7-seater SUV layout for different versions. The body dimensions are 4980 mm in length, 1950 mm in width and 1780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2920 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with heating and automatic folding functions are equipped for different versions. Roof rails are equipped as standard.

Interior Design

The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and central control touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 540-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports vehicle network connection and OTA upgrade functions. Partial versions are equipped with multi-directional adjustable front and rear seats, wireless phone charging and multi-speaker audio system.

Powertrain

The GAC Trumpchi GS8 adopts front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive layouts, matched with 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0T inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Hybrid versions are equipped with dedicated hybrid transmission and matching motor assembly.
The vehicle meets China VI emission standards. The fuel tank capacity is 65 liters. The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension system. The vehicle is equipped with multiple driving mode adjustment functions and torque vectoring control system for four-wheel drive versions.
