The Li L8 inherits the brand’s flagship family-style design language, featuring a sleek and elegant front fascia with an active air intake grille that can open and close automatically according to working conditions, paired with a curved full-width LED star ring daytime running light and sharp matrix LED headlights, which significantly enhance the vehicle’s recognition and sense of technology, especially at night. The front face adopts a slanting downward diving line, paired with a raised hood and prominent shoulder lines to strengthen the low-lying sense of power and layering. The side of the body has smooth and stretched lines, with a segmented waistline that enhances the sense of hierarchy, complemented by semi-hidden electric door handles and multi-spoke low-drag alloy wheels (available in 21-inch and 22-inch sizes), balancing aesthetics and aerodynamic performance. The rear is fitted with a sleek roof spoiler and a flat full-width LED taillight that echoes the front star ring light, with a downward-curving light eyebrow and a hidden rear wiper, paired with a trapezoidal concave license plate frame (moved to the tailgate on the 2026 model) and hidden exhaust, presenting a simple and high-end visual effect. The body is available in multiple color options, including conventional colors such as Crystal White, Silver Metallic, Phantom Black and Deep Blue, as well as newly added Blue Grey, and optional two-tone body colors for personalized needs.
In terms of dimensions, the 2026 model of the vehicle measures 5,135 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm, while the previous model has dimensions of 5,080 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, 1,800 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,005 mm. As a 5-door 5-seat (2026 model) or 6-seat (previous model) mid-to-large SUV tailored for family travel, its interior space is fully optimized with a short front suspension design to achieve better space utilization. The interior headroom and legroom are ample; the 2026 5-seat version has significantly improved rear legroom due to the extended wheelbase, while the 6-seat version adopts a 2+2+2 seat layout with a central aisle that facilitates easy access to the third row. The rear seats feature a flexible split-folding design, and the trunk has a regular volume that can easily accommodate luggage, daily necessities and outdoor gear, meeting the needs of family travel and long-distance trips.
Interior Design
The Li L8 features a luxurious and comfortable interior design centered on family comfort and intelligent interaction, with a star ring surrounding cockpit layout and high-quality materials. It is equipped with a multi-screen linkage system consisting of a 4.82-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.7-inch 3K high-definition central touchscreen, a 15.7-inch 3K co-pilot entertainment screen and a 13.35-inch AR-HUD head-up display, which projects navigation, speed and other key information onto the windshield for safer driving. The vehicle is equipped with an intelligent in-vehicle system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip (standard across the entire series from 2024), with 24GB memory and 5G dual-card dual-standby, ensuring smooth operation and supporting full-car wake-up-free voice interaction, continuous dialogue and multi-device interconnection. The interior is covered with a large area of Nappa leather and wood trim, with a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, and the front seat headrests are equipped with speaker openings for directional playback of intelligent driving prompts. Interior color schemes include Black-Brown, Black-Grey and Ivory White, catering to different family needs, and the seats are skin-friendly and comfortable; the front and second-row seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and massage functions, and the second-row independent aviation seats support 16-way electric adjustment, enhancing the overall comfort.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with ABS, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic image, dual-chamber air springs, CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers, front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension, and electronic power steering, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a sliding rear entertainment screen, three-zone automatic air conditioning with fresh air system, 1920W 12-speaker panoramic sound system, 3.5kW external discharge function, and optional electric side steps. The top-spec version can be equipped with up to four laser radars, 800-megapixel high-definition camera matrix, and advanced intelligent driving assistance functions, further enhancing convenience and safety.
Powertrain
The Li L8 adopts an extended-range powertrain to eliminate range anxiety, with the 2026 model equipped with a self-developed 1.5T four-cylinder range extender (code-named L3E15CA) with a maximum power of 115 kW and a thermal efficiency of 40.5%, while the previous model is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender with a thermal efficiency of 42%. All versions are paired with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with a combined maximum power output of 330 kW and peak torque of 620 Nm, and the official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is about 5.3 to 5.9 seconds, providing strong performance for overtaking and daily driving.
The vehicle is equipped with different capacity lithium battery packs: the 2026 model is equipped with a 72.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a WLTC-rated pure electric range of 343 km (335 km for the 22-inch wheel hub version), while the previous model is equipped with a 42.8 kWh battery pack with a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 210 to 280 km. The comprehensive CLTC range reaches 1315 to 1415 km when fully fueled and charged, with a WLTC fuel consumption of 5.9 to 6.3 L/100 km in battery-depleted mode. It supports fast charging and slow charging, taking about 30 minutes to charge from 20% to 80% in fast-charging mode, and 6.5 to 7.9 hours to fully charge in slow-charging mode. Multiple driving modes including extended-range priority, pure electric priority, winter mode, mountain road mode and wet road mode are available, adapting to different driving scenarios, and it also supports 3.5kW external power output for outdoor camping and other scenarios.
