Exterior Design
The MG7 adopts a distinctive design language that combines British sports aesthetics with modern minimalism, featuring a sharp front fascia with a blackened claw-like matrix grille, unique digital hunting-pupil LED headlights inspired by feline eyes, and striking electromagnetic pulse through-type taillights. The rear is equipped with a three-section adaptive electric rear wing, which not only enhances its aerodynamic performance but also boosts its sporty appeal significantly. The vehicle comes standard with frameless doors and 19-inch shadow hunting multi-spoke wheels paired with red sporty calipers. The body is available in multiple color options, including Jadeite Green, Iceland Blue, Onyx Black, Andes Gray, and Pearl White.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,884 mm in length, 1,889 mm in width, and 1,447 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,778 mm. The 0.766 golden height-width ratio creates a low and wide stance, achieving a drag coefficient of only 0.29Cd. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which not only increases flexibility for storage and seating but also expands the trunk space, easily accommodating daily luggage and travel items.
Interior Design
The MG7 is equipped with a 33-inch integrated curved display that combines a digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen, delivering an outstanding visual experience and smooth operation supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Interior color schemes include Starry Blue, Jet Black, Peacock Green, and Cabernet Red, with large-area Dinamica suede and Silk Nappa leather seamless stitching, catering to personalized preferences and enhancing the luxurious texture.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with “Storm Eye” integrated sports seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, keyless entry and start, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a 49-inch AR-HUD head-up display, BOSE Centerpoint surround sound system with 14 high-performance speakers, NGP navigation-assisted driving, and P2P memory parking, as well as practical features such as E-LSD electronic limited-slip differential and mCDC intelligent adjustable electric suspension.
Powertrain
The MG7 offers two turbocharged powertrain options. The front-mounted 2.0T high-performance engine, supported by 11 independent core technologies and VGT variable geometry turbocharging system, delivers a maximum power output of 192 kW and peak torque of 405 Nm. It is paired with a new 9-speed automatic transmission, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and an official top speed of 230 km/h.
The 1.5T engine option delivers a maximum power output of 138 kW and peak torque of 300 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, achieving a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.25 L/100km. Both powertrain options support 92-octane fuel, balancing performance and fuel economy effectively.
