Exterior Design

The Changan NEVO A05 inherits the brand’s “Fuguang Aesthetics” design philosophy, crafted by the team led by international design master Klaus Zyciora, featuring a dynamic and fashionable design language that combines digital technology with practical home use, positioning itself as an economical plug-in hybrid compact sedan. It breaks through the traditional compact sedan design, adopting a sleek and streamlined body with a low-slung stance, and clean and smooth lines that extend from the front to the rear, creating a dynamic and elegant visual effect. The front face adopts a split semi-closed grille with a horizontal layout, paired with the brand’s new logo inspired by a “smile”, and narrow LED headlight groups on both sides that extend to the fenders, forming a unique “digital bionic smile front face” with strong recognition and a sense of future. The rear is equipped with a through-type LED taillight that echoes the front lighting, complemented by a small ducktail spoiler and a simple rear bumper, which not only optimizes aerodynamic performance but also highlights the sporty attributes. The body is equipped with hidden door handles to reduce wind resistance and enhance the sense of simplicity, and is available in six distinctive color options: Shining Ice Crystal White, Dynamic Red, Titanium Silver Gray, Andes Gray, Cloud Sea Silver Gray, and Cloud Mountain Green, catering to the diverse aesthetic needs of young family users.
In terms of dimensions, the Changan NEVO A05, positioned as a compact sedan, measures 4,785 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, achieving a high space utilization rate and providing a spacious and comfortable riding experience for a compact model. The interior space is ample, with a reasonable layout that ensures comfortable seating for three adults in the rear, and the rear legroom is sufficient even for tall passengers to sit comfortably. The vehicle adopts a practical trunk design with a moderate volume, which can easily accommodate daily luggage and small items, and is equipped with 24 humanized storage spaces throughout the vehicle to meet the storage needs of multi-scene travel. The overall design perfectly balances aesthetics and practicality, making it suitable for daily commuting and short-distance family travel.

Interior Design

The interior design of the Changan NEVO A05 adheres to the core concept of “intelligent comfort and practicality”, adopting a simple and layered cockpit layout, creating a warm and homey riding atmosphere. A large area of the interior is covered with soft materials, paired with wood grain trim panels and delicate decorative parts, enhancing the refined texture of the cockpit, while the seat surface is designed with exquisite diamond stitching and perforation to improve comfort and breathability. It is equipped with a dual-screen linkage system consisting of a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch high-definition touch vertical central screen with an 88% screen ratio, paired with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and an electronic gear shifter, delivering an outstanding visual and operational experience. The interior color schemes include three options: Elegant Black, Chiti Red, and Centimeter Gray, paired with ambient lights, creating a comfortable and pleasant cockpit atmosphere to meet personalized preferences.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with practical configurations such as 16-inch wheels, multiple airbags, a 540° high-definition panoramic image, manual air conditioning, rear independent air outlets, and a high-grade zero-pressure sofa seat that fits the body curves of Asians, ensuring comfort even for long rides. What’s more, the entire series is equipped with the IACC integrated adaptive cruise system, which can assist in controlling speed and direction, realizing automatic acceleration and deceleration in a fixed lane, and the sentinel mode that monitors the surrounding environment after parking to ensure vehicle safety. The higher-spec models add comfort and intelligent configurations such as automatic air conditioning, mobile phone wireless charging, and rest and sleep modes, significantly enhancing the riding experience. In addition, it is equipped with the Xunfei Feiyu OS4.0 system and the “AI Xiao’an” intelligent voice system with a recognition rate of up to 95%, supporting wake-up-free multi-command quick execution and multi-scene voice interaction, ensuring smooth operation of the vehicle machine and accurate voice recognition.

Powertrain

The Changan NEVO A07 offers a plug-in hybrid power system, equipped with a 1.5L efficient Blue Whale hybrid engine and a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor, to meet the practical needs of daily commuting and long-distance travel for family users. The 1.5L Blue Whale hybrid engine has a maximum power of 81 kW and a maximum torque of 143 N·m, adhering to the Blue Whale “AGILE agile” combustion concept, with the high-efficiency zone covering more than 90% of the vehicle’s working conditions to achieve lower fuel consumption. The drive motor provides two power options with maximum power of 140 kW and 158 kW respectively, and a peak torque of 330 N·m, with a 0-100km/h acceleration of only 6.8 seconds in hybrid mode, delivering a brisk and smooth driving experience, and the motor response time is as fast as 10 ms. It is equipped with two configurations of ternary lithium and lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 9.07 kWh and 18.99 kWh, offering CLTC pure electric ranges of 70 km and 145 km respectively, and comprehensive ranges of 1225 km and 1300 km respectively, completely eliminating range anxiety.
The Changan NEVO A05 is equipped with an independent 10-layer Hairpin flat-wire oil-cooled motor with an efficiency of up to 97.8%, and adopts an innovative dual-motor coaxial serial layout, which is 26% smaller in volume and 30-40 kg lighter in weight than competitors, further reducing vehicle energy consumption. It is also equipped with a 3.3kW external discharge function, with a built-in 48L fuel tank, equivalent to storing more than 160 degrees of electricity, which can meet the electricity needs of camping, car cinema and other scenarios, acting as a “mobile power station” for family travel. The battery adopts IP67-level high-strength protection, which can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 1 hour without leakage, and supports intelligent temperature control in the full temperature range of -35℃ to 55℃, ensuring stable operation in extreme environments. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a professional-tuned chassis, adopting a combination of front MacPherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam suspension, which can effectively filter road bumps and provide a stable and comfortable driving experience for daily commuting.
