The Smart #5 inherits the brand’s iconic modern and dynamic design language, integrating the exclusive aesthetic of new energy electric models, perfectly balancing luxurious sense, practicality and aerodynamic efficiency. It features a mid-size luxury electric SUV silhouette with well-proportioned body proportions, short overhangs, a long wheelbase and a robust stance, paired with smooth and sleek side lines and surface-accentuated contours, conveying an essence of modern elegance and sporty vitality. The front fascia adopts a stylish closed grille with a refined decorative pattern, paired with sharp LED headlights that feature a dynamic lighting effect, seamlessly connecting with the grille to form a cohesive visual effect, enhancing both brand recognition and a strong sense of technology.
A horizontal LED daytime running light strip runs along the upper edge of the grille, forming a cohesive visual connection with the rear continuous LED light strip, creating a continuous and eye-catching light effect at night and highlighting the new energy electric identity. The front bumper has a layered and sporty design, with aerodynamic air deflectors on both sides that not only optimize aerodynamic performance but also add a touch of sharpness to the overall front-end look. The rear is equipped with stylish LED taillights that seamlessly converge into the continuous light strip, with integrated spoilers on the side wall of the taillights to further improve aerodynamics, ensuring high recognition when lit at night. A subtle roof spoiler enhances the sporty appeal and aerodynamic performance, while the smooth rear diffuser creates a refined visual effect with the front fascia. The body is available in a variety of exterior paint options, and standard models are equipped with stylish alloy wheels, while high-spec models come with larger-sized alloy wheels, all aerodynamically optimized to balance practicality and luxurious sporty design.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,705 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. As a mid-size luxury electric SUV, it offers flexible and ample interior space for five passengers, ensuring a comfortable riding experience. The luggage compartment has a practical capacity of 630 liters, and the rear seats feature a flexible folding design that can be expanded to 1530 liters, meeting diverse daily usage needs such as carrying luggage and large items. Its aerodynamic design elements, including the streamlined body and rear taillight spoilers, ensure efficient energy consumption during driving.
Interior Design
The Smart #5 features a driver-oriented cockpit design with a neat and layered dashboard layout, where the instrument panel and door panels are seamlessly connected to create a comfortable and immersive digital luxury driving environment. It is equipped with a three-screen setup consisting of a 10.3-inch instrument display and two 13-inch AMOLED screens, integrated under a shared glass surface to form a widescreen cockpit, supporting clear display even under direct sunlight. The interior is wrapped in 85% high-grade soft materials, covering commonly touched areas such as door panels and armrests, paired with exquisite trim finishes, including matte silver chrome decorations and ambient lighting, creating a modern high-tech and luxurious ambience. The leather-wrapped three-spoke multifunction steering wheel has a comfortable grip, integrating touch control buttons for convenient operation of navigation, telephony and entertainment functions without taking hands off the wheel.
Interior color schemes include elegant options such as light honey brown Nappa leather and pure black to cater to personalized preferences, with most models offering high-quality leather seats. The seats adopt an advanced ergonomic design, including zero-gravity seats with a 121° optimal angle and 8-point airbag massage function, providing excellent support and comfort on long journeys, with comprehensive fore/aft, height and seat surface angle adjustments. The driver’s seat is equipped with multi-way power adjustment and power lumbar support functions, while high-spec models add heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats on both sides for enhanced comfort. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with LED headlights, front and rear side airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic camera, cruise control, 256-color ambient lighting, and smartphone integration. The higher-spec version adds advanced configurations such as a Sennheiser 20-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos, 50W wireless charging, 25.6-inch AR-HUD, and smart driving assistance system, delivering a more luxurious and comfortable driving experience.
Powertrain
The Smart #5 offers multiple powertrain options, featuring high-performance electric motor configurations paired with an efficient electric transmission that features smooth shifting and responsive performance, perfectly balancing power, energy efficiency and driving comfort. The powertrain is designed for efficiency and stability, with intelligent energy management and recuperation systems that maximize energy utilization, ensuring a smooth and efficient driving experience in the full speed range. It also supports multiple driving modes and all-terrain driving modes, adapting to different road conditions with excellent maneuverability.
The vehicle is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, with different motor types including asynchronous induction motors and SiC permanent magnet synchronous motors. Rear-wheel drive models deliver a maximum power of up to 250 kW and peak torque of 373 Nm, while all-wheel drive models have a combined maximum power of up to 267 kW and peak torque of 440 Nm, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time as fast as 4.9 seconds. It is equipped with lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium battery packs with multiple capacity options, including 76 kWh and 100 kWh, offering a CLTC electric range of up to 740 km. In terms of charging, it supports DC fast charging, with the 800V voltage platform models taking less than 15 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, and also supports plug-and-play charging and “DC+AC” integrated charging port for effortless daily use. The powertrain adopts an efficient cooling system to ensure stable operation in various driving conditions, and the vehicle is equipped with an AMD V2000 high-performance chip and Doubao AI large model, ensuring smooth system operation and convenient human-computer interaction.
