The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV adopts a fresh and lovely design concept, which is consistent with its positioning as a pure electric microcar tailored for urban commuting and daily travel. It features a rounded and compact front fascia with a closed grille design that highlights its pure electric identity, paired with a transverse chrome trim strip above the front bumper, which connects the round LED headlights on both sides to enhance the sense of integrity. The headlights have a simple and cute shape, with clear light lines and high recognition when lit. The side of the body adopts a compact and dynamic contour, with a floating roof design and blackened exterior rearview mirrors, further enhancing the youthful and fashionable temperament. It is equipped with 12-inch steel wheels with 145/70 R12 tires, which are practical and meet the needs of daily urban travel. The rear is equipped with round LED taillights that echo the front headlights, with a simple and neat rear bumper and a small-sized rear spoiler, creating a lovely and layered appearance. The body is available in multiple fresh color options including Gray Mengmeng, Green Youyou, White Rongrong, catering to diverse personalized aesthetic needs, and it also offers both 3-door and 5-door 4-seat hatchback structures to meet different usage needs.
In terms of dimensions, the 3-door version of the vehicle measures 3,043 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,965 mm; the 5-door version measures 3,268 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width, and 1,575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm. Its compact body makes it easy to shuttle through crowded urban streets and park in small spaces, with a minimum turning radius of only 4.3 meters. The 4-seat layout balances seating space and practicality, providing comfortable riding space for daily two or four people travel. The rear seats can be folded flexibly, which greatly improves the flexibility of storage, and can easily accommodate daily necessities such as backpacks and shopping bags, meeting the needs of daily commuting and short-distance travel.
Interior Design
The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV adopts a simple and practical interior design style, which is consistent with its positioning of an economical and practical microcar. It is equipped with a simple instrument cluster that clearly displays key vehicle information such as vehicle speed, power and cruising range, and some high-spec models are equipped with a small-size central display screen, integrating basic functions such as multimedia and vehicle settings to meet daily operational needs. The interior color scheme adopts a fresh and simple style, with a combination of light and dark colors, and a large area of practical materials, which is easy to clean and maintain. The seats are made of comfortable fabric materials, with appropriate wrapping and support, ensuring riding comfort for short-distance travel. The interior is designed with multiple storage spaces, such as door storage slots and center console storage boxes, which are convenient for placing small items and enhance the practicality of the vehicle. It is also equipped with electric power steering system (EPS), making driving lighter and more labor-saving.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with LED headlights, LED high-mounted brake lights, LED rear fog lights, ABS anti-lock braking system + EBD electronic brake force distribution system, front dual airbags, high-strength steel front anti-collision beam, and manual air conditioning, among other practical and safe functions. The higher-spec models add functions such as DC fast charging, APP remote query (including power, remaining cruising range, vehicle position), public charging pile query and navigation, battery heating and intelligent heat preservation, and energy recovery, further enhancing the convenience and safety of daily use. All models are equipped with appointment charging and battery intelligent supplementary power functions, which are more user-friendly.
Powertrain
The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is equipped with a rear-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, adopting a rear-wheel drive form, which is more flexible for urban commuting. It is available in two power versions: the low-power version has a maximum power output of 20 kW and peak torque of 85 Nm, while the high-power version has a maximum power output of 30 kW and peak torque of 92 Nm. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 100 km/h, which is fully suitable for daily urban commuting and short-distance travel. The vehicle is equipped with lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium battery packs in different capacities: 9.3 kWh, 13.4 kWh and 17.3 kWh, offering CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 120 km, 170 km and 215 km respectively. It supports AC slow charging and partial models support DC fast charging; in fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 35 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, while in slow-charging mode, it takes 4.6 to 6.8 hours to fully charge, ensuring convenient daily use.
