The Mazda 6 Atenza carries forward the brand’s iconic “Kodo” design philosophy, focusing on smooth and dynamic body lines that embody a sense of motion even at a standstill. It features a sleek mid-size sedan silhouette with a gently sloped roofline and sharp waistlines that run from the front fenders to the rear taillights, enhancing its elegant and sporty posture. The front fascia adopts a prominent shield-shaped grille, which is decorated with a honeycomb black mesh and surrounded by thick chrome trim that connects seamlessly with the sharp headlight units, maintaining strong family recognition while exuding a refined sense of luxury. The uniquely designed air ducts on both sides of the front bumper not only optimize aerodynamic performance with a Cd value of 0.28 but also add a touch of sharpness to the overall front-end design.

The rear is equipped with stylish and narrow LED taillights, with a chrome trim inserted into the taillight assembly, creating a cohesive visual effect with the front grille. A subtle “ducktail” spoiler enhances the sporty appeal, while the reduced black plastic cladding at the bottom improves visual stability. The body is available in multiple color options to cater to different aesthetic preferences, and some high-spec models are equipped with 19-inch high-brightness multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, replacing the traditional dual five-spoke design to further enhance the vehicle’s luxurious and dynamic vibe. Additionally, it comes with chrome door handles and a sleek liftback tailgate, balancing practicality and style.

Interior Design

The Mazda 6 Atenza features a cockpit-centered design with a clean and layered dashboard layout, where the instrument panel and door panels are seamlessly connected to create a comfortable and immersive driving environment. It is equipped with a floating central touchscreen and a high-quality color sports-style three-ring chrome instrument panel, with a 4.5-inch or 7-inch color LCD display in the middle that clearly shows rich vehicle information. The interior is wrapped in a large number of high-grade soft materials and high-quality leather, complemented by a three-spoke steering wheel made of imported Italian top-layer cowhide, which has a comfortable grip and integrates multiple function buttons for convenient operation of cruise control and multimedia.

Interior color schemes mainly include elegant options such as black and beige, catering to personalized preferences. The seats adopt an advanced ergonomic design with high-quality leather craftsmanship, providing excellent support and wrapping to reduce fatigue during long-distance driving. Powertrain

The Mazda 6 Atenza is equipped with two naturally aspirated engine options: 2.0L and 2.5L, both belonging to the SKYACTIV-G series of Skyactiv technology, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission (SKYACTIV-DRIVE) that features efficient wide-speed range lock-up technology for smooth shifting and responsive performance. The 2.0L engine has a maximum power output of 116 kW and peak torque of 202 Nm, with an official top speed of 212 km/h and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 6.4 L/100km under comprehensive working conditions.

The 2.5L engine has a maximum power output of 141 kW and peak torque of 252 Nm, with an official top speed of 226 km/h and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 7.0 L/100km under comprehensive working conditions. Both engines adopt a high compression ratio of 13:1, combined with 4-2-1 extended exhaust system and Dual S-VT dual variable valve timing control system, achieving excellent power performance and fuel economy. The vehicle adopts a front-wheel drive system, matched with SKYACTIV-CHASSIS chassis technology, including MacPherson independent front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension, to ensure linear power output and sensitive handling, continuing Mazda’s “Jinba Ittai” driving DNA.
