Exterior Design
The Volkswagen ID.6 CROZZ adopts Volkswagen’s new family-style design language for its ID. series electric vehicles, inheriting rigorous German craftsmanship while integrating minimalist, futuristic and elegant elements that fit its positioning as a mid-size pure electric SUV. It features a sleek and integrated closed front fascia with a distinctive horizontal silver decorative strip running through the center, paired with the standard IQ.Light intelligent matrix LED headlight system and a luminous Volkswagen logo, which is seamlessly connected with a narrow through-type LED light strip, creating a sophisticated, grand and technological visual effect. The lower grille adopts a sporty design with exquisite decorative elements, adding a vivid sense of hierarchy. The distinctive linear daytime running lights and symmetrical through-type LED taillights with dynamic light effects further highlight its unique identity, and the smoked taillights paired with the new-style rear bumper enhance the sporty temperament. The side of the body adopts a spacious and graceful SUV silhouette with smooth through-type waistlines, paired with semi-hidden door handles, a floating roof design formed by hidden B/C/D pillars, silver roof rails and 20-inch low-drag sporty alloy wheels, highlighting its stable and dynamic posture, while the black wheel arches and front and rear black surround kits further enhance its tough temperament. The body is available in three color options: Crystal White, Aurora Blue, and Deep Black.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,891 mm in length, 1,848 mm in width, and 1,679 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,965 mm. Benefiting from the short front and rear overhang design of the MEB platform and the optimized overall layout, the interior legroom and headroom are extremely spacious, and the overall interior space is generous and comfortable, perfectly meeting the needs of family travel and long-distance commuting. It offers flexible 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, and the second-row seats support forward and backward movement and backrest angle adjustment with a flat floor design, ensuring passenger comfort. The rear seats feature a split-folding design, which not only improves the flexibility of storage and seating but also expands the trunk space significantly, easily accommodating items such as luggage, camping equipment and strollers for travel or daily use.
Interior Design
The Volkswagen ID.6 CROZZ is equipped with a 5.3-inch full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch floating central touchscreen, forming a seamless connected cockpit powered by the latest ID. OS intelligent cockpit operating system and E3 electronic and electrical architecture, delivering an outstanding visual experience and smooth operation. It also features an AR-HUD augmented reality head-up display that projects driving information, navigation and early warning onto the windshield in an intuitive way, and is equipped with the ID.Light interactive light language system and an intelligent voice assistant that supports multi-round dialogue, directional sound pickup and full-scene interruption. Interior color schemes include All Black, Black with Beige, and black with gray stitching, catering to different personalized and usage scenarios. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, ACC 3.0 adaptive cruise control, and keyless entry/start, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds Level 2+ driver-assistance systems based on IQ.DRIVE, active braking, a 360-degree panoramic camera, a panoramic sunroof, front and rear seat heating, as well as a high-quality in-vehicle sound system for an enhanced audio experience.
The interior adopts high-quality materials, with a large area of soft wrapping on high-frequency contact areas such as the center console and door panels, paired with exquisite stitching craftsmanship and metal decorative strips, enhancing the sense of comfort and technology. It adopts a column-mounted electronic knob shifter design unique to the ID. series, which frees up the central channel space and adds a wireless phone charging panel and practical storage grids. The center console follows the driver-centric ergonomic design with a minimalist style, and the full-touch steering wheel with vibration feedback replaces traditional physical buttons, facilitating blind operation during driving. The interior is equipped with multiple practical storage spaces, including a large-capacity armrest box, a storage grid in front of the gearshift, and door panels that can hold large water bottles, bringing great convenience to daily use. The seats are made of high-grade artificial leather, with comfortable padding and sufficient support, and the front seats are equipped with electric adjustment function in higher-spec versions, effectively reducing driving fatigue during long trips. It is also equipped with a three-zone intelligent air conditioning system, allowing passengers in different positions to adjust the temperature independently.
Powertrain
The Volkswagen ID.6 CROZZ is based on the MEB pure electric platform and offers three powertrain options to meet different driving needs. The first option is a rear-mounted single motor with a maximum power output of 132 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm, equipped with a 62.6 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 480 km. The second option is also a rear-mounted single motor with a maximum power of 150 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm, paired with an 84.8 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of around 8.3 seconds and a CLTC-rated range of up to 601 km. The third option is front-rear dual motors, with a front AC asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, a combined maximum power of 230 kW and peak torque of 472 Nm, equipped with an 84.8 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with a CLTC-rated range of up to 560 km. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
The powertrain adopts mature electric vehicle technologies such as high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motors and advanced battery management systems, which not only improve power response but also enhance energy efficiency and battery durability. The battery pack has passed strict safety tests, including collision, fire and needle pricking, ensuring extreme safety. The transmission system features smooth power output and high transmission efficiency, and the energy recovery system supports multi-level adjustment, balancing comfort and range efficiency. The chassis adopts a front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension with professional German tuning, and some models are equipped with DCC dynamic chassis control system, ensuring precise steering and stable driving, and the suspension adjustment balances comfort and handling, providing a comfortable, energy-efficient and stable driving experience for users in various road conditions. It also adds intelligent driving assistance functions such as lane keeping and active pre-collision safety to enhance driving safety.
