Exterior Design
The NIO ES7 adopts a dynamic and robust design language that inherits the brand’s second-generation family-style aesthetics, combining luxury SUV practicality with sporty elegance, featuring a sleek Shark Nose X-bar front fascia with a closed grille that highlights its pure electric identity. It is equipped with iconic Double Dash LED daytime running lights paired with intelligent multi-beam LED headlights, which can automatically adjust the light range according to driving scenarios, and stylish through-type light blade LED taillights that echo the front lights, forming a coherent and unified design language. The rear is equipped with a sporty fixed rear spoiler as standard, which not only enhances the overall sporty appeal but also optimizes aerodynamic performance, paired with hidden electric door handles, flush side windows and a streamlined body shape to further reduce wind resistance, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.263Cd. The vehicle comes standard with 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, while the higher-spec version is equipped with 21-inch forged alloy wheels, and the body is available in 7 color options, including Cloud White, Deep Space Black, Star Gray, Antarctic Star Blue, Aurora Green, Dawn Gold and Aurora Orange, to meet diverse user preferences.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,912 mm in length, 1,987 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. Its well-proportioned mid-size luxury SUV posture and straight waistline create a robust and elegant appearance, perfectly balancing practicality and visual appeal. It adopts a 5-door 5-seat layout, with a spacious and flat interior floor that maximizes the use of space. The vehicle is equipped with a 65L practical front trunk, and the rear trunk space reaches 570L, which can be expanded to 1,430L when the rear seats are folded, easily accommodating daily necessities, family luggage and travel items, meeting the diverse needs of daily commuting and long-distance family trips. The long wheelbase also ensures ample legroom and headroom for front and rear passengers, enhancing riding comfort.
Interior Design
The NIO ES7 features a luxurious and comfortable wrap-around cockpit design, equipped with a 10.2-inch HDR digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch AMOLED central touchscreen, forming an intelligent interactive design with the optional N-Box enhanced entertainment host that delivers a concise and high-tech visual experience. It operates smoothly supported by the NIO self-developed Banyan intelligent system and the Adam NIO supercomputing platform with four NVIDIA Drive Orin X chips, providing powerful computing power for intelligent interaction and driving assistance. Interior color schemes include 4 themes: Black, Hazel Brown, Atlas Gray and Star Blue, paired with large-area high-grade Nappa leather wrapping, natural wood decorative panels and metal trim, creating a luxurious, comfortable and warm cockpit atmosphere that caters to personalized preferences. It is also equipped with a 1.94-square-meter panoramic sunroof, which brings a more open visual experience to the cockpit and enhances the sense of space.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, ergonomic leather seats, dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a 360-degree panoramic camera with a transparent chassis, 256-color ambient light, a 23-speaker 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos audio system, the Queen’s co-pilot with zero-gravity posture, as well as high-level intelligent driving assistance systems including full-scene navigation-assisted driving (supported by the Aquila NIO super-sensing system with 33 high-performance sensors), supporting multiple complex driving scenarios and enhancing convenience and safety. It also has 16-way electric adjustable driver’s seat and 18-way electric adjustable co-pilot seat, both with heating, ventilation and massage functions, providing a comfortable riding experience for all passengers.
Powertrain
The NIO ES7 is a pure electric mid-size luxury SUV based on the NIO NT2 platform, equipped with the second-generation high-efficiency electric drive platform with silicon carbide power modules, adopting a dual-motor four-wheel drive system composed of a front 180kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and a rear 300kW induction asynchronous motor. The comprehensive power output reaches 480 kW and the peak torque is 850 N·m, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with smooth power output and an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds, presenting outstanding sporty performance. It is also optionally equipped with Brembo four-piston calipers and 380mm large-size perforated ventilated brake discs, ensuring excellent braking performance.
The vehicle is available with three lithium battery pack options: 75 kWh, 100 kWh and 150 kWh, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 485 km, 620 km and 930 km respectively. It supports fast charging, slow charging and battery swapping functions, with a peak charging power of up to 180 kW, which can supplement 210 km of range in 10 minutes of fast charging, and can be charged from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes. It also supports 3-minute automatic fast battery swapping, which is faster than refueling. It is equipped with air suspension and CDC dynamic damping control system as standard, which can automatically adjust the suspension stiffness according to road conditions, achieving excellent driving stability and comfort, perfectly balancing power performance and energy efficiency.
