Exterior Design
The Yangwang U9 adopts the brand’s unique “Time-Space Gate” design language, which is distinctly different from conventional supercars, featuring an aggressive and dynamic diving posture that perfectly reflects its extreme performance potential. The front fascia is equipped with striking C-shaped light groups and interstellar traversal headlights, whose dynamic radial lines create a strong visual impact when lit, just like opening a door to the future. The rear is fitted with a large carbon fiber fixed spoiler (a carbon fiber swan-neck rear wing is available as an option) and an active diffuser, significantly enhancing its aerodynamic performance and sporty appeal. The body is available in four color options: Argyle Purple, Chixia Danzhu (Crimson Red), Yueyao Silver (Lunar Silver), and Jijing Forest (Extreme Forest).
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,966 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,295 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The body adopts a carbon-steel-aluminum hybrid structure and the country’s first integral carbon fiber cockpit, using T700-grade 12K high-performance aerospace carbon fiber material, with a lightweight coefficient of 0.95 and an overall torsional stiffness of 54,425 N·m/deg, ensuring exceptional driving stability and safety. The vehicle is also equipped with 6 sets of multi-functional air ducts and a new crater wind deflector design, which effectively reduces wind resistance and provides downforce for the front axle. Additionally, the butterfly door opening method adds a sense of ceremony and sportiness to the supercar.
Interior Design
The Yangwang U9 is equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, and a co-pilot entertainment screen, forming a complete intelligent interactive matrix that delivers a stunning visual and operational experience. Inspired by “cosmic floating stars”, the interior integrates traditional Chinese “integrity and harmony” aesthetics with a futuristic technological sense, featuring a centrally symmetrical “left-right mirror” layout and a dual-surround star ring cockpit, creating a 360° fully enclosed driving experience. Interior color schemes include Chi Yao Red, Ri Er Orange, and Xing Yun Purple, catering to personalized aesthetic preferences of different users.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 21-inch wheels, ceramic ventilated disc brakes, air suspension, butterfly doors, and a Dynaudio Evidence Platinum Hi-End audio system with 12 speakers, among other high-end and practical functions. The interior is extensively wrapped in Alcantara suede, high-grade Nappa leather, and carbon fiber materials, with exquisite hand double-needle stitching craftsmanship, highlighting the luxury texture and sporty attributes. The higher-spec Xtreme version adds enhanced heat dissipation systems and a carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, while both versions are equipped with the Yangwang Pilot L2-level driver-assistance system, covering 540° panoramic images, automatic lane changing, and other functions for a safer driving experience. Other practical configurations include 50W wireless phone charging, 127-color ambient lighting, and RNC active noise reduction technology.
Powertrain
The Yangwang U9 is built on the e-4ORCE technology platform, equipped with four front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors (one motor per wheel), delivering a maximum combined power output of 960 kW and a peak torque of 1,680 N·m, with a maximum horsepower of over 1,300 Ps. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 300 km/h and an acceleration time of only 2.36 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, while the measured maximum speed can reach 391.94 km/h. The Xtreme version has upgraded power parameters, with a maximum horsepower of 3,018 Ps and a peak torque exceeding 3,000 N·m, and the maximum speed is increased to 350 km/h.
The Yangwang U9 comes standard with an 80 kWh BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 450 km. Based on the 800V high-voltage platform, it supports 500 kW DC dual-gun fast charging, and it takes only about 10 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% in fast-charging mode, effectively solving the range anxiety of pure electric supercars. It also supports 7 kW AC slow charging, which takes 7 hours to charge from 30% to 80%, and is equipped with an intelligent thermal management system and a scheduled charging function, adapting to different usage scenarios and ensuring stable performance in low-temperature environments.
