Exterior Design
The Geely Lynk & Co 05 adopts a dynamic and aggressive design language unique to Lynk & Co’s compact fuel-powered coupe SUV series, inheriting the brand’s iconic “Urban Opposite Aesthetics” design concept, and integrating sporty elements with modern sophistication to highlight its personalized and sporty positioning. The front fascia features a new urban interstellar grille with a crisscross grid layout that exudes a strong sense of power, paired with the iconic “Northern Light” daytime running lights that are highly recognizable and sharp LED headlight groups on both sides, which are integrated with the grille to form a through-type visual effect, stretching the horizontal width of the front face. The lower part of the front bumper is equipped with a three-section air intake surround, all treated with blackening to enhance the sense of movement and layering, while the high-spec models add a silver decorative strip to enhance the sense of refinement. On the side of the vehicle, the sleek coupe-style sloping roof line extends from the front to the rear, creating a dynamic “night stream” fastback silhouette, paired with blackened window frames and aurora wing pillar trim panels that add a sense of fashion. It is equipped with hidden door handles and frameless rearview mirrors for aerodynamic design, effectively reducing wind resistance and improving driving stability. The standard 19-inch alloy wheels are stylish and solid, while the high-spec models are equipped with 20-inch stardust rhythmic alloy wheels to further highlight their sporty temperament. The rear design is concise and powerful, with an energy matrix taillight group connected by a wide black decorative strip, simulating a through-type effect, paired with a sporty ducktail spoiler and a large-size blackened diffuser at the bottom, and bilateral two-outlet exhausts that enhance the sporty atmosphere, balancing sportiness and refinement. The body is available in multiple color options, including Polar Green, Dawn White, Midnight Black, Twilight Purple and Polar Cyan, catering to the aesthetic preferences of young consumers pursuing personality and fashion.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,592 mm in length, 1,879 mm in width, and 1,628 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,734 mm, which is a standard compact SUV size suitable for urban commuting and small family outings. The interior space is reasonably arranged with a 5-door 5-seat layout, ensuring comfortable seating for front and rear passengers. The rear seats can be folded down to form a nearly flat space, greatly improving the flexibility of the storage area. The standard trunk volume is 336L, which can be expanded to 1070L when the rear seats are folded, easily accommodating daily items, travel luggage and small outdoor equipment, balancing sportiness and practicality.
Interior Design
The Geely Lynk & Co 05 features a sporty, comfortable and high-tech interior design, adopting a driver-centered wrap-around cockpit layout that highlights the driving experience. The center console is equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch floating central touch screen and an optional 7.5-inch full-color HUD head-up display, forming a three-screen interactive system that projects key information such as speed, navigation and vehicle status onto the windshield for easy viewing. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 in-vehicle chip, paired with the Lynk OS N intelligent cockpit system, supporting four-domain OTA upgrades, intelligent AI voice interaction (including Chinese, English and Cantonese recognition), Apple CarPlay and HUAWEI HiCar mobile phone connection, ensuring smooth operation and seamless interaction. The interior is wrapped with a large amount of soft materials and high-quality leather, with a polar cyan two-tone interior option available for high-spec models, matching the newly designed beveled perforated seat backrests and rhythmic trim, showing a trendy attitude. The seats are made of high-quality materials, with the front seats featuring electric adjustment, heating and ventilation functions in high-spec models, and the well-designed seats provide comfortable support for long-distance driving. In terms of features, the standard model comes with practical functions such as keyless entry, electric tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree panoramic camera, multi-color ambient lights and dual wireless charging panels. Higher-spec versions add Lynk Co-Pilot Navi intelligent pilot assistance system, 24 high-performance perception hardware, and 30 intelligent driving assistance functions, as well as hollow racing sports seats, further improving convenience and driving safety.
Powertrain
The Geely Lynk & Co 05 is equipped with a Drive-E 2.0TD T5 turbocharged engine, a high-power engine shared with Volvo, which adopts a low-inertia turbocharger and can output 90% of the peak torque in as fast as 2 seconds. The engine has a maximum power of 187 kW (254 horsepower) and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1800-4800 rpm, delivering strong and responsive power performance. It is paired with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission, which features a compact structure, light weight and dense shift ratios, bringing smooth shifting experience and better fuel economy. The vehicle is available in front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with the four-wheel drive version equipped with the fifth-generation BorgWarner intelligent four-wheel drive system, which can automatically distribute torque to the rear axle when the front wheels slip, with a maximum distribution ratio of 50:50, improving handling limits and off-road capability in complex road conditions. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 6.7 seconds, and the top speed can reach 230 km/h, showing excellent performance. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is moderate, adapting to 92# gasoline to reduce subsequent use costs. It is equipped with an advanced engine thermal management system, ensuring stable power output even in extreme driving conditions, and the McPherson independent front suspension and multi-link rear suspension further enhance driving stability and comfort.
