Exterior Design
The Hongqi Tiangong 05 adopts a design concept that integrates classic heritage and cutting-edge technology, featuring a closed front fascia that conforms to the development trend of new energy vehicles, paired with unique split headlights and distinctive daytime running lights that enhance its avant-garde visual appeal. The side waistline is smooth and natural, extending through the entire body to create a dynamic forward-leaning silhouette, combined with a sleek fastback roof line and hidden door handles to further enhance its sporty and sophisticated look. The rear is equipped with unique Y-shaped taillights and a blackened rear bumper, with a low drag coefficient of 0.213Cd for better driving efficiency. The body is available in multiple color options including Xuanwu Black, Zhuque Red, Qinghua Blue and Qilin Gold, catering to diverse aesthetic needs.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,820 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The interior space is spacious and comfortable, with a flat rear floor design that ensures ample legroom for rear passengers. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which increases flexibility for storage and seating, expanding the trunk volume from the standard 479 liters to 723 liters to meet daily loading needs.
Interior Design
The Hongqi Tiangong 05 features a minimalist and luxurious interior with a wrap-around center console design, creating a warm and comfortable driving atmosphere. It abandons the traditional instrument cluster and is equipped with a 65-inch dual-focus AR-HUD instead, which projects navigation, vehicle speed and other key information directly in front of the driver’s field of vision, ensuring driving safety and convenience. It is paired with a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen with clear display and smooth operation, making various functions at a glance.
The interior is wrapped in high-quality materials, with soft-touch surfaces in high-frequency contact areas, and four interior color schemes are available to meet personalized preferences. The seats are made of premium materials, with the driver’s seat supporting 14-way electric adjustment, 4-way leg rest and 10-point massage function, and all seats are equipped with heating function for enhanced comfort. In terms of features, the standard model comes with 18-inch semi-closed low-drag wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds Level 2 driver-assistance systems, active braking, high-speed NOA and 3.3 kW external power output, as well as luxurious configurations such as air suspension and advanced leather interior.
Powertrain
The Hongqi Tiangong 05 offers two power configurations to meet different needs. The low-range version (550/750 series) is equipped with a rear-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power output of 210 kW and peak torque of 317 Nm, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 200 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.8-6.9 seconds. The high-range version (850 series) is equipped with a more powerful rear-mounted single motor with a maximum power output of 340 kW and peak torque of 450 Nm, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 4.8 seconds and an official top speed of 210 km/h.
In terms of batteries and range, the low-range version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 62 kWh (CLTC range 550 km) or 85 kWh (CLTC range 750 km), supporting 200-265 kW fast charging, which takes about 20 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. The high-range version adopts a 98 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 850 km, and is equipped with a 900V high-voltage platform and 5C ultra-fast charging technology, which takes only 12 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.
