Exterior Design
The Li i8 adopts the brand’s latest family-style design concept for its pure electric series, featuring a sleek and futuristic front fascia with a closed grille that is a hallmark of pure electric vehicles, paired with a distinctive full-width LED daytime running light strip and sharp matrix LED headlights, which significantly enhance the vehicle’s recognition, especially at night. A customized ATL 128-line lidar from Hesai is subtly integrated above the front grille, working with multiple perception hardware to support advanced intelligent driving functions without damaging the overall aerodynamic shape. The side of the body has smooth and stretched lines, with a moderately sloped fastback silhouette that balances fashion and rear headroom, complemented by flush electric door handles that optimize the drag coefficient to an impressive 0.218Cd. The rear is fitted with a sleek roof spoiler and a full-width LED taillight that echoes the front daytime running light, paired with a thick rear bumper with black anti-scratch trim, presenting a modern and dynamic visual effect. The body is available in five color options: Pearl White, Silver Metallic, Phantom Black, Little Elephant Grey Special Edition Cold Light Paint, and Sky Blue Special Edition Cold Light Paint.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,085 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,740 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. As a 5-door 6-seat mid-to-large SUV, its interior space is fully optimized based on the pure electric architecture to meet the needs of family travel and daily commuting. The interior headroom and legroom for all three rows of seats are ample; the second-row legroom is spacious enough for passengers to stretch their legs comfortably, and the fully flat rear floor design for the second and third rows ensures a comfortable seating experience for the middle passenger. The rear seats feature a split-folding design; the trunk has a regular volume that can easily accommodate luggage and daily necessities, and the space can be further expanded after folding the rear seats, greatly enhancing storage flexibility for large items such as camping gear and strollers.
Interior Design
The Li i8 features a simple and premium interior design centered on family comfort, with a clean wrap-around layout and high-quality materials. It is equipped with a 4.82-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.7-inch 3K high-definition central touchscreen and a 15.7-inch 3K co-pilot screen, forming a dual-screen linkage system, paired with an AR-HUD head-up display and a streaming rearview mirror to enhance the technological sense and driving convenience. The vehicle is equipped with the intelligent in-vehicle system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and the Thor-U intelligent driving chip, with the upgraded Li Auto Assistant that supports high-speed and urban navigation-assisted driving, intelligent parking, automatic emergency braking and other functions. The interior is covered with a large area of Nappa leather and bio-based environmentally friendly soft materials, with matte metal decorative strips that reduce reflection and enhance the overall texture. Interior color schemes include White, Grey-Brown, and Orange-Yellow, and the seats are skin-friendly and comfortable, with the second-row right seat featuring a zero-gravity design with a maximum recline angle of 145°, supporting heating, ventilation and ten-point massage functions. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, ABS, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic image, dual-chamber air suspension, CDC continuous variable damping shock absorber, and electronic power steering, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, 8L cold and warm dual-purpose refrigerator, 20-speaker sound system, as well as advanced features such as active noise cancellation and 256-color ambient lighting.
Powertrain
The Li i8 is built on the 800V high-voltage platform and offers only all-wheel drive pure electric powertrain option to meet users’ needs for power and stability. It is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system developed and produced by Li Auto itself, with a front motor maximum power output of 150 kW and a rear motor maximum power of 250 kW, delivering a combined maximum power output of 400 kW and peak torque of 660 Nm. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is about 4.5 seconds, with an official top speed of 200 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with ternary lithium battery packs in two capacities: 90.1 kWh and 97.8 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 670 km and 720 km respectively. With a 5C charging rate, it takes approximately 15 minutes to charge from 10% to 95% in fast-charging mode, and charging for 10 minutes can supplement 500 km of range. It also supports external power output and is equipped with battery low-temperature heating and liquid cooling systems, ensuring battery safety, longevity and energy efficiency in different driving scenarios, with a combined energy consumption of about 14.6 kWh per 100 km.
