The Nissan Frontier Pro PHEV is Nissan’s first plug-in hybrid pickup truck. Manufactured by Zhengzhou Nissan, it was unveiled on April 23, 2025. Developed on Zhengzhou Nissan’s “Star Core” global multi-terrain platform and equipped with AHT all-scenario hybrid technology, the vehicle was jointly developed by Chinese and Japanese R&D teams. It is Nissan’s first global pickup truck model designed, developed, and produced in China.

Exterior Design

The Nissan Frontier Pro PHEV is equipped with matrix LED headlights and through-type LED light strips, fitted with an illuminated brand logo on the front grille. The body is available in multiple color options. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,494 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,950 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,300 mm. It adopts a four-door pickup truck layout and is equipped with 18-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Design

The Nissan Frontier Pro PHEV is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central control touchscreen. Standard configurations include front and side airbags, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, and cruise control. Higher-spec versions are equipped with a 360-degree panoramic camera system and Level 2 driver-assistance systems. The vehicle is fitted with waterproof synthetic leather seats and multiple interior and cargo area power interfaces.

Powertrain

The Nissan Frontier Pro PHEV is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a front-mounted drive motor. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 105 kW and peak torque of 220 Nm, with a system comprehensive power of 320 kW and a system comprehensive torque of 800 Nm. It is paired with a 4-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. The vehicle is equipped with a 32.86 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, supporting an NEDC pure electric cruising range of 131 km. It supports DC fast charging and external power output functions, and adopts a four-wheel drive layout.
