Exterior Design
The GAC Trumpchi E8 is a mid-size plug-in hybrid MPV, equipped with a front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with LED taillight groups and rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 18-inch wheel configurations for different versions. Conventional door handles are equipped as standard. A panoramic sunroof is equipped for partial versions.
The vehicle adopts a 5-door 7-seater MPV layout. The body dimensions are 5015 mm in length, 1910 mm in width and 1760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3070 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with heating and automatic folding functions are equipped for different versions. An electric charging port cover is equipped as standard. Electric sliding rear doors are equipped for partial versions.
Interior Design
The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and central control touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 540-degree panoramic camera system, head-up display system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports vehicle network connection, wireless phone charging, V2L external discharge and OTA upgrade functions. Partial versions are equipped with multi-directional adjustable second-row seats with heating and ventilation functions and active noise reduction system.
Powertrain
The GAC Trumpchi E8 adopts front-wheel drive layout, matched with 2-speed DHT hybrid dedicated transmission. The vehicle is available in two powertrain versions. The 2.0L plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with maximum power of 103 kW and a front permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 134 kW. The 1.5T plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with maximum power of 125 kW and a front permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 200 kW.
The vehicle is equipped with 25.57kWh and 38.88kWh ternary lithium battery packs for different versions. The CLTC pure electric cruising range covers 150 km and 281 km for different versions, with a comprehensive cruising range up to 1537 km. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions, with fast charging duration from 10% to 80% within 0.5 hours. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery system and battery constant temperature management system. The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension system. Partial versions are equipped with SDC electromagnetic suspension system.
