The Luxeed V9 is now officially on sale starting at ¥389,800($57300), powered by multiple core technologies from Huawei
On May 15, 2026, Chery Automobile (09973.HK) officially launched the Luxeed V9, a mid-to-large-sized extended-range 7-seat MPV developed by Huawei’s HIMA. The new model is available in four trim levels, with official MSRPs ranging from 389,800 to 519,800 yuan. During the initial sales period, buyers can enjoy purchase benefits of up to 56,500 yuan, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early June. At the launch event, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Group, announced that pre-orders for the Luxeed V9 had exceeded 40,000 units. As a model resulting from the deep collaboration between Huawei and Chery, the Luxeed V9 is equipped with multiple core Huawei technologies and is positioned in the premium MPV market. In terms of design, the Luxeed V9 adopts the HIMA family design language, featuring million-pixel smart projector headlights and Huawei’s 896-line dual-beam lidar, which enhance environmental detection accuracy and contextual driving experiences. The vehicle measures 5,359/2,009/1,859 mm with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm and is available in four exterior colors, with “Glow Purple” offered as an optional extra. In terms of interior design, the Luxeed V9 offers three color schemes (Velvet Twilight Purple is an optional extra), and comes standard with the “Cosmos” triple-screen display and the HarmonyOS cockpit system. The audio system is available in two configurations—25-speaker and 35-speaker—depending on the trim level. The key highlight of the seating configuration is the standard dual zero-gravity seats in the second row across all trims. Higher-end models feature rotating second-row seats that support multi-scenario mode switching, along with practical features such as an in-car refrigerator. The third-row seats support electric adjustment and heating, and the trunk offers flexible expansion options. In terms of core technology, the Luxeed V9 comes standard across all trims with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system, active rear-wheel steering, and dual-chamber air suspension. It features the HarmonyOS ALPS health-focused cabin and is equipped with 13 airbags throughout the vehicle to ensure the safety and well-being of occupants. Powered by Huawei’s Snowy Owl intelligent range-extending technology, the Luxeed V9 features a 1.5T range-extending engine and a 53.4kWh battery pack. The rear-wheel-drive version offers a combined range of 1,320 km, while the all-wheel-drive version delivers 1,280 km. Built on Huawei’s Tuling MPV custom platform, the vehicle boasts a turning radius of just 5.35 meters. The launch of the Luxeed V9 further enriches the HIMA product portfolio, with its core competitiveness centered on Huawei’s technological empowerment and full-scenario product compatibility. The current high-end MPV market is highly competitive and is undergoing a transition toward electrification and intelligentization. The price range of ¥380,000–¥550,000 has become the focal point of competition, with key rivals including the Li Auto MEGA, Zeekr 009, and Voyah Dreamer. The Luxeed V9 addresses range anxiety through its range-extended powertrain, combined with Huawei’s advanced intelligent driving capabilities and flexible interior space. Additionally, its pricing is lower than that of competitors such as the Li Auto MEGA and Zeekr 009, creating a unique competitive advantage.
