Exterior Design
The Arcfox αS5 adopts the brand’s exclusive “Wind Sculpture Aesthetics” design language, which is different from the rounded style of the Kaola S, featuring a low-slung and dynamic posture that combines sportiness and aerodynamic performance. Its front fascia is equipped with an exposed active air intake grille that can intelligently adjust its opening and closing to balance heat dissipation and wind resistance, paired with sharp “Extreme Intelligence Flow” daytime running lights composed of nearly 400 LEDs, which are vivid and highly recognizable, earning it the affectionate nickname “Blue-Eyed Fox”. The rear is fitted with a large intelligent active lifting rear wing (standard on four-wheel drive versions, optional on other versions), which not only enhances the sporty atmosphere but also improves high-speed driving stability by providing downforce. The body is available in a variety of trendy color options, including Nebula Pink, Ice Gray, Arcfox White, Star Diamond Black, as well as newly added Phantom Green, Vana Blue and Lava Gray, catering to the personalized needs of young users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle has a length of 4,886 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, and a height of 1,480 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, presenting a coordinated and slender coupe proportion. The ultra-wide body of 1,930 mm and the low-lying posture, combined with the smooth “Deep Space Star Dome” sloping roof design, not only strengthens the sporty attribute of the coupe but also achieves an excellent drag coefficient as low as 0.1925Cd, which helps improve energy efficiency and cruising range. The rear seats adopt a 40/60 split-folding design, which effectively increases the flexibility of seating and storage space, meeting the needs of daily use and travel storage.
Interior Design
The Arcfox αS5 features a minimalist and luxurious interior layout, with a large area of Soft+ cloud-soft touch materials and Microcloud ultra-fiber velvet environmentally friendly materials, bringing a delicate and comfortable touch experience. It is equipped with a 68-inch ultra-high-definition AR-HUD (supporting voice control) and a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, canceling the traditional digital instrument cluster, which not only delivers an outstanding visual experience but also ensures driving safety by displaying key information without lowering the head. Interior color schemes include Light Gray, Energy Black, and newly added Flame Brown, which can be freely matched with the exterior colors to create a personalized cockpit atmosphere.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with frameless doors, electric tailgate, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, cruise control, as well as a health cockpit with aldehyde and benzene resistant odor-free technology and a four-proof composite air conditioning filter. The higher-spec PRO and MAX versions add Level 2+ driver-assistance systems (including urban NOA and highway NOA), active braking, 360-degree camera system, 50W wireless phone charging, and a 7.1.4-channel 18-speaker audio system, while the top-end models are also equipped with passenger zero-gravity seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, further enhancing the comfort and intelligence experience.
Powertrain
The Arcfox αS5 offers a dual-power layout of pure electric and extended-range versions to meet different travel needs. The pure electric version is available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations: the single-motor model has a maximum power of 185 kW and a peak torque of 320 Nm, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive model has a maximum total power of 390 kW and a peak torque of 690 Nm, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of no less than 180 km/h. It is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate battery packs of different capacities (64.8 kWh, 74.4 kWh, 79.2 kWh), offering CLTC-rated ranges of 630 km, 720 km, and 770 km respectively; the high-end models are equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C Shenxing supercharging technology, which can charge from 30% to 80% in as fast as 8.9 minutes.
The extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated range extender (maximum power 77 kW) and a 200 kW drive motor, paired with a 27.4 kWh CATL battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a comprehensive range of up to 1,450 km. The range extender adopts Atkinson cycle dedicated to hybrid, with a thermal efficiency of 43% and a power generation efficiency of 95%, and the WLTC 100km fuel consumption under feed-in power is as low as 4.5L, achieving both fuel and electricity savings. All versions are equipped with a series braking energy recovery system and V2V/V2L external power output function, further improving practicality and energy utilization efficiency.
