Exterior Design
The Bestune NAT is a purpose-built all-electric compact MPV built on the FAW FME electric platform, designed to deliver efficient mobility solutions for ride-hailing, shared mobility, and family use. Its exterior features a streamlined body with a distinctive folding rear windshield, creating a unique silhouette that balances practicality with recognizability. At the front, a fully enclosed grille is paired with through-type LED daytime running lights and “World Window” LED headlights, forming a sharp front fascia that emphasizes its technological identity. The side profile is characterized by clean, smooth lines, with a single sliding door on one side ensuring easy passenger access, especially beneficial for elderly users and children. The vehicle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/55 R17 tires, providing a stable base for urban commuting. At the rear, tunnel-like LED taillights echo the front design, while a simple bumper maintains the vehicle’s cohesive aesthetic.
In terms of dimensions, the NAT measures 4,450 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. This layout delivers the footprint of an A-class car, the wheelbase of a B-class car, and the rear space of a C-class car, with a rear legroom of 1,007 mm. As a 5-door, 5-seat MPV, it offers generous headroom and legroom for all passengers. The rear seats support folding, expanding the trunk volume from 454L to accommodate various cargo needs. With a minimum ground clearance of 130 mm, it easily navigates urban road conditions, ensuring good passability in daily use.
Interior Design
The interior of the Bestune NAT adopts a minimalist, functional cockpit layout centered around practicality and user-friendliness. It features a flat-bottomed two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a rotary gearshift mechanism, allowing for intuitive operation. The center console is equipped with a 10/11/12-inch floating central touchscreen, while essential physical buttons are retained for quick access to key functions, striking a balance between modernity and usability. The cabin uses high-quality, easy-to-clean materials and offers multiple interior color schemes, creating a comfortable and refined environment.
The seating arrangement prioritizes comfort and versatility. The front seats, available in fabric or imitation leather, provide ample support, with the driver’s seat offering manual adjustment for optimal positioning. Higher-spec versions add ventilation to both front seats, enhancing comfort during long drives. The rear seats feature a 6:4 split design, allowing for flexible cargo configuration. The interior is also well-equipped with storage solutions, including cup holders, door pockets, and a central armrest, maximizing daily usability.
In terms of technology and safety, the NAT comes standard with essential features such as a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, cruise control, and automatic headlights. Higher trims add a 360-degree panoramic camera, L2-level intelligent driving assistance, a built-in driving recorder, and four one-touch emergency alarm buttons throughout the cabin. All models support Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports, and OTA upgrades, ensuring a connected and convenient driving experience.
Powertrain
The Bestune NAT is powered by a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor, available in two power variants to suit different needs. The standard version delivers a maximum power of 100 kW and peak torque of 260 N·m, while the high-performance option provides 120 kW and 155 N·m, both paired with a single-speed fixed-ratio transmission for smooth and responsive power delivery. The vehicle has an official top speed of 140 km/h, suitable for both urban and highway driving.
It is equipped with lithium iron phosphate or ternary lithium battery packs produced by CATL, with capacities of 53 kWh or 54 kWh, offering CLTC pure electric ranges of 401–425 km. In fast-charging mode, it can charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, while slow charging takes around 8 hours, providing flexible recharging options. The vehicle has a combined power consumption of 12.8–13.2 kWh/100 km, making it energy-efficient and cost-effective to operate.
The chassis features a MacPherson independent front suspension and a torsion beam non-independent rear suspension, matched with electric power steering, effectively filtering road vibrations and ensuring stable handling in various driving conditions. With front-wheel drive and good overall tuning, the NAT delivers a comfortable and safe driving experience, making it well-suited for daily commuting and commercial use.
