Exterior Design
The BYD Destroyer 05 is a compact plug-in hybrid sedan, equipped with a polygonal front grille and full LED headlight groups. The vehicle is fitted with through-type LED taillight groups and aerodynamic rear bumper trim. Multiple body color options are available. The vehicle adopts 17-inch and 18-inch wheel configurations for different versions. Conventional door handles are equipped as standard. A panoramic sunroof is equipped as standard.
The vehicle adopts a 4-door 5-seater layout. The body dimensions are 4780 mm in length, 1837 mm in width and 1495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2718 mm. Electrically adjustable exterior mirrors are standard configurations.
Interior Design
The vehicle is equipped with a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a rotatable central touchscreen. Multiple interior color schemes are available, matched with leather upholstery and metallic decorative trim. The vehicle supports multi-color ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning. An electronic gear shift lever is equipped as standard.
Standard configurations include front, side and curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera and constant-speed cruise control. Keyless entry and one-key start functions are standard. High-spec versions are equipped with 360-degree panoramic camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and active braking system. The vehicle supports wireless phone charging and OTA upgrade functions.
Powertrain
The BYD Destroyer 05 adopts front-wheel drive layout, equipped with a 1.5L inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine and permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, matched with E-CVT transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 81 kW and a peak torque of 135 Nm. The electric motor has two power versions with maximum power of 132 kW and 145 kW, and peak torque of 316 Nm and 325 Nm respectively.
The vehicle is equipped with plug-in hybrid dedicated blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The NEDC pure electric cruising range covers 55 km and 120 km for different versions, with a comprehensive cruising range up to 1200 km. The vehicle supports AC slow charging function. The vehicle is equipped with energy recovery system and multi-link independent suspension system.
