Exterior Design
The BYD Seal 06 GT adopts the distinctive “Ocean Aesthetics” design language of BYD’s Ocean Network, fully inheriting the design elements of the OCEAN-M concept car and presenting a young and dynamic temperament that is exclusive to a sports-oriented pure electric compact sedan, known as “the first GT for young people”. It features a low-lying and aggressive front fascia, with sharp “Deep Sea Eyes” headlight groups that have exquisite internal light source structures, and a black grid-like air intake in the middle of the front bumper, paired with sporty front lip spoilers on both sides, further enhancing the dynamic visual effect. The front face is also equipped with sharp daytime running lights, which echo the overall sporty style and improve recognition. From the side, the body has a smooth and sleek slip-back contour, with a clear waistline extending from the front fender to the rear taillight, highlighting the vehicle’s sense of movement and layering; the roof is equipped with a sporty spoiler, and the side skirt trim adds a touch of sportiness. At the rear, it is equipped with a stylish through-type taillight group with a soft light effect, and the overall “convex” shape is reminiscent of many two-box performance cars, matching the large-area black rear bumper guard plate and diffuser design, showing a full sporty posture. The body is available in multiple dynamic color options, catering to the personalized needs of young users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,630 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, achieving the space freedom of a mid-size sedan and providing a spacious interior space to meet the needs of both personal driving and family travel. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which greatly improves storage flexibility; the luggage compartment volume is sufficient to meet daily storage needs, and when the rear seats are folded down, it can further expand the storage space, adapting to scenarios such as daily commuting and weekend outings.
Interior Design
The BYD Seal 06 GT adopts a minimalist interior design tone, which retains the stretching and softness of Ocean Aesthetics while not losing a sense of speed and tension, perfectly matching its GT sports positioning. It is equipped with an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch floating central touchscreen, forming a practical dual-screen combination that delivers a comfortable visual and technological experience. Interior color schemes are designed to cater to young users’ preferences, with a simple and dynamic color matching, creating a sporty and fashionable in-car atmosphere. The interior is equipped with ambient lights, and the seats adopt sporty wrapping designs, which not only bring a skin-friendly and comfortable touch but also provide good support during driving, enhancing the driving pleasure. It adopts a user-friendly design, including a column-mounted gearshift mechanism that frees up space in the central console area, and a multi-function steering wheel with integrated intelligent driving and multimedia control buttons for easy operation during driving.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch wheels, 11 airbags (full-range safety protection), rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic camera, TPMS direct tire pressure monitoring system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and the high-end version of the intelligent cockpit – DiLink 100, which supports full-scene intelligent voice control, map wallpaper dual desktop, 3D vehicle control and other functions, bringing a high-value intelligent cockpit experience. All models are equipped with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which can achieve Level 2 intelligent auxiliary driving, providing functions such as lane guidance and automatic parking, making driving safer and more convenient. The higher-spec models add practical and sporty configurations such as FSD frequency-variable damping shock absorbers, further enhancing driving stability and comfort, and meeting young users’ pursuit of driving fun.
Powertrain
The BYD Seal 06 GT is built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 Evo, equipped with more than 13 global first-hand technologies, integrating five advantages of aesthetics, safety, efficiency, intelligence and comfort, and has more than 100 standard configurations across the entire series. It offers two power architectures: rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, with three power versions to choose from. The single-motor rear-wheel drive version has two specifications, with maximum power of 160 kW and 165 kW respectively, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds; the dual-motor four-wheel drive version has a combined system power of 310 kW and a combined torque of 510 Nm, paired with a 1200V SiC silicon carbide electric control, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds, fully demonstrating the performance of a GT model. The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs with two capacity options: 59.52 kWh and 72.96 kWh, offering CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 505 km, 605 km and 550 km respectively, meeting the needs of daily commuting and long-distance travel. It is equipped with an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, and adopts leading technologies such as intelligent current-boosting fast charging and intelligent terminal fast charging; it only takes 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and only 18 minutes to charge from 80% to 100%, truly solving the user’s energy supplement pain point. In addition, it is equipped with an efficient twelve-in-one intelligent electric drive system, which achieves better energy consumption performance, and supports external power discharge, meeting the needs of outdoor camping and other scenarios, and the three-electric system provides a lifetime warranty for the first owner (non-operational) to reduce users’ worries.
