The BYD Sealion 07 EV adopts BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design language, inheriting the iconic Ocean X design language from the Ocean series. The front features a closed-off grille paired with a “Sea 悦 Double U” suspended LED headlight group and layered daytime running lights with a sequential welcome effect, creating a sharp and tech-forward front fascia. The sculpted front bumper with aerodynamic air guides enhances both visual aggression and airflow efficiency.
On the side, the sleek coupe-like roofline and rising shoulder line form a dynamic sporty posture, complemented by hidden electric door handles and 19/20-inch sporty alloy wheels to optimize aerodynamics. The distinctive X-shaped metal trim on the D-pillar integrates with the floating roof, adding a premium touch. At the rear, a full-width LED taillight with parametric dot light sources delivers high recognition at night, while the sculpted rear bumper with a diffuser-style lower trim enhances the sporty appeal. The body is available in a range of sophisticated colors, including Atlantis Gray, Sky Purple, Aurora White, and Obsidian Black, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm—delivering mid-to-large SUV-level interior space. Its drag coefficient is as low as 0.23Cd, significantly reducing energy consumption and extending range. The front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension layout, combined with the cloud-pillar C intelligent damping control system, ensure agile handling and a comfortable ride.
Interior Design
The interior of the BYD Sealion 07 EV features a minimalist “Floating Wings” dashboard design, with horizontal lines extending to the door panels to create a spacious and airy cabin. Over 80% of the interior surfaces are covered in soft-touch materials, paired with matte metal trim and ambient lighting, elevating the overall premium feel.
The cockpit is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch floating rotatable central touchscreen running the latest DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system, supporting OTA upgrades, 5G connectivity, and voice control (“Hello, BYD”). A 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display projects key driving information onto the windshield, minimizing driver distraction. The four-spoke steering wheel with an electronic gear shifter offers an intuitive operation experience, while a crystal-style gear selector adds a touch of elegance.
Interior color options include Sardine Coral Orange and Thalas Black, with customizable multi-color ambient lighting to suit personal moods. Comfort features are generously equipped: the front seats come standard with heating, ventilation, and 4-way power adjustment, with higher trims adding electric leg support and massage functions. The second-row seats feature adjustable backrests and heating, ensuring long-distance comfort for all passengers. Practical details include a 50W wireless charging pad, front and rear Type-C/USB ports, and a central armrest with cup holders, while the 500-liter trunk provides ample storage space.
In terms of practical features, the standard model is equipped with automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic imaging system, and cruise control. Higher-spec versions add advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including active braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, further enhancing safety and convenience.
Powertrain
The BYD Sealion 07 EV is built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo and features an 800V high-voltage architecture, delivering exceptional performance and efficiency. It offers three powertrain options:
- Rear-wheel drive (RWD) 170 kW: A permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 170 kW of maximum power and 380 N·m of peak torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h车.
- Rear-wheel drive (RWD) 230 kW: A more powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 230 kW and 380 N·m, achieving 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 225 km/h.
- All-wheel drive (AWD) 390 kW: Dual motors (front + rear) with a combined output of 390 kW and 690 N·m, sprinting from 0–100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, catering to performance enthusiasts.
All versions are paired with a single-speed electric transmission for smooth and responsive power delivery. The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s blade battery (LFP) with CTB (Cell to Body) integration, available in two capacities:
- 71.8 kWh: Delivers a CLTC-rated range of 550 km.
- 80.64 kWh: Provides a CLTC-rated range of 610 km.
Supporting DC fast charging with a maximum power of 240 kW, the Sealion 07 EV can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes, effectively alleviating range anxiety. It also features battery preheating and heat pump air conditioning, optimizing battery performance and energy efficiency in low-temperature environments. The first non-operating owner enjoys a lifetime warranty on the three-electric systems, ensuring long-term peace of mind.
