The Denza Z9 EV, positioned as a premium large-size flagship pure electric sedan under Denza (a brand under BYD), inherits the brand’s “Elegant Momentum” new design concept, featuring a sleek and majestic overall silhouette that integrates flagship-level luxury, cutting-edge technology and all-scene practicality, and is more restrained and pure compared to the Denza Z9GT, focusing on the combination of stability and elegance. It is equipped with slender and sophisticated LED headlights with independent LED light strips below, paired with a fully closed front fascia decorated with delicate chrome trim and a prominent luminous Denza brand logo in the center; the front bumper is equipped with a black grid-like air intake in the middle, and a laser radar on each side, highlighting its advanced intelligent driving configuration. The side adopts a classic three-box design with smooth and coherent lines, hidden door handles and silver trim around the windows, canceling the black trim of the Z9GT, with larger rear triangular windows, highlighting the elegant and stretched posture of the sedan; the roof is equipped with a lidar, and the rear is fitted with a stylish hourglass-shaped LED taillight group and an electric rear spoiler, matched with a refined rear bumper with body-color decorative parts, making the overall shape concise, grand and full of a sense of hierarchy. The body is available in multiple high-end color options, including an exclusive purple paint color, catering to the personalized needs of high-end business elites, urban elites and family users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,220 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,500-1,518 mm in height, with a spacious wheelbase of 3,125 mm, belonging to the large-size five-seat sedan category. Benefiting from the Yisanfang platform and CTB battery-body integration technology, it maximizes the use of interior space—the large-curvature roof and full-view panoramic sunroof ensure sufficient headroom and interior lighting for front and rear passengers, while the reasonable body proportion design (with balanced front and rear overhangs) presents a stable and elegant style that combines luxury and practicality, perfectly meeting the needs of business reception, family long-distance travel and daily commutes. Despite its large size, it achieves excellent flexibility with the support of rear dual-motor independent steering technology, easily adapting to urban narrow roads and parking scenario.
Interior Design
The Denza Z9 EV features a flagship-level luxurious and intelligent interior design, adhering to the brand’s consistent high-end positioning with a wrap-around layout and layered decorative panels, creating a relaxed, refined and tech-savvy riding atmosphere that integrates business luxury and home comfort. It is equipped with a 50-inch AR-HUD (optional for Max version), a 13.2-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 17.3-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen and a 13.2-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, forming a multi-screen interconnection system, powered by a high-performance chip, delivering a clear and smooth interactive experience. It adopts a new four-spoke steering wheel and a column-mounted shift mechanism, which is more elegant and refined, and the area originally for the shift lever is changed to a covered storage compartment, with cup holders and a central armrest at the rear. Interior color schemes are matched with high-grade materials, including Nappa leather seats, natural light gray real wood trim, high-end suede ceiling and crystal buttons, highlighting the flagship-level premium texture and comfort. The cabin is equipped with multi-level noise reduction technology, including double-layer sound-insulating glass and comprehensive acoustic cladding, creating a library-level quiet environment, paired with a 20-speaker Devialet audio system and Dolby Atmos, bringing an immersive audio experience.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 20-inch wheels, 9 airbags, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree panoramic camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions, as well as a standard four-zone fresh air system with 8 electric air outlets, 20-speaker Devialet audio system, front and rear heating and cooling refrigerators, 128-color ambient lights and rear mobile phone wireless charging, ensuring driving safety and comfort. The higher-spec Max version adds an air suspension system, streaming interior rearview mirror, additional cameras, and optional 12.8-inch rear multimedia screens and 7-inch armrest screens. It also features multiple efficient storage spaces and a large-capacity trunk; the seats are highly comfortable: front seats are standard with heating, ventilation, memory and massage functions, and rear seats (according to configuration) are equipped with electric leg rests, seat movement and 10-point massage functions, with foldable small tables, fully meeting the needs of business and family scenario.
Powertrain
The Denza Z9 EV is a pure electric flagship sedan built on the Yisanfang vehicle intelligent control technology platform, integrating four core technologies: three-motor independent drive, rear dual-motor independent steering, VMC vehicle motion control and full-series CTB battery-body integration, achieving superior performance and subversive handling. It adopts a three-motor all-wheel drive layout, with a front motor with a maximum power of 230 kW and two rear motors each with a maximum power of 240 kW, with a total motor power of up to 710 kW, delivering strong acceleration performance, and an official top speed of 230 km/h, providing a smooth, quiet and dynamic driving experience. With the support of Yisanfang technology, it is equipped with a world-leading low-adhesion road stability enhancement system, which can maintain stability on wet and icy roads, and can stabilize the body even in extreme scenarios such as high-speed tire blowout at 140 km/h, greatly improving driving safety.
The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s high-performance lithium iron phosphate blade battery, which has the characteristics of high safety, high performance and high durability, and supports flash charging technology with a fast and convenient charging experience. It is available with two battery pack capacities: 102.326 kWh and 122.496 kWh, supporting CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 905 km, 1030 km and 1068 km respectively, completely eliminating range anxiety for long trips. The battery pack is protected by multiple safety measures such as nano-scale aerogel insulation walls to ensure safety and durability during daily use; it also supports convenient charging methods, and users can remotely control charging time and check charging status through the in-vehicle system, meeting the needs of different usage scenarios. In addition, it is equipped with five iconic core functions including excellent steering, compass U-turn, Yisanfang parking, low-adhesion road stability enhancement and intelligent crab walking, further enhancing driving flexibility and safety.
