Exterior Design
The Geely Coolray adopts a dynamic and sporty subcompact SUV design language, embodying a youthful and aggressive temperament that combines urban fashion with athletic aesthetics, tailored for young consumers. It features a bold “violent” air intake grille, paired with sharp energy matrix LED headlight groups and integrated dual L-shaped LED daytime running lights, which not only enhance the front face’s recognition but also ensure clear lighting during night driving. The front bumper adopts a three-section design with sharp air guide slots on both sides, complemented by a silver decorative strip, further highlighting the sporty atmosphere.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,330 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,609 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, presenting a standard subcompact SUV posture that balances maneuverability and daily practicality. The body is designed with muscular and sharp waistlines extending from the front to the rear, complemented by a floating black roof, aluminum alloy roof rails and electric rearview mirrors with heating and folding functions. The rear is equipped with a through-type rhythmic LED taillight connected by a black decorative strip, paired with a sporty rear spoiler (standard on higher-spec variants) and a rear bumper with a diffuser-like design, enhancing the overall sporty charm. It comes standard with 17-inch aluminum alloy rims, and optional 18-inch tomahawk-style dark shadow rims, with multiple exterior color options to meet personalized needs.
Interior Design
The Geely Coolray features a sporty and intelligent interior layout based on the “energy awakening cockpit” design concept, combining athleticism with practicality and technology. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch suspended integrated dual-screen system, forming an intuitive interactive layout that delivers an excellent visual experience. It is powered by the Geely Galaxy OS intelligent cockpit system built with the E02 super digital chip, supporting 4G network, FOTA cloud updates, intelligent voice interaction, Huawei HiCar and wireless CarPlay connection, ensuring smooth operation and humanized interaction.
In terms of features and space, the interior adopts gray-black and red-black two-tone color schemes, with large-area soft materials wrapping frequently touched areas, paired with delicate contrast stitching and metal texture trim, highlighting a sporty and refined sense of quality. The vehicle adopts a 5-door 5-seat layout, with a humanized storage space design and rear seats that can be folded proportionally to expand the luggage compartment capacity. The front seats are wrapped in leather or suede materials (top-spec exclusive), with excellent lateral support, and the driver’s seat supports electric adjustment on higher-spec variants. Standard configurations include automatic air conditioning with rear air outlets, a multi-speaker audio system, a 15W wireless phone charger, PEPS keyless entry and one-button start. Higher-spec variants add a panoramic sunroof, 360° surround view camera, FACE ID facial recognition and ambient lights with breathing mode.
Powertrain
The Geely Coolray is available in multiple powertrain configurations to meet different user needs, built on the BMA platform. The main configuration is a 1.5T turbocharged inline-4 engine, delivering a maximum power of 133 kW (181 horsepower) and a peak torque of 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, only available in front-wheel drive, ensuring responsive power output and smooth shifting. The entry-level Lite version is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (model: BHE15-AFD) with a maximum power of 93 kW (126 horsepower) and a peak torque of 152 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT continuously variable transmission.
The 1.5T version has an official top speed of 190 km/h, while the 1.5L version reaches 170 km/h. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 6.89 L/100km for the 1.5L CVT version, balancing power and fuel economy, and it supports 92-octane gasoline for daily use. It is equipped with a MacPherson independent front suspension and a torsion beam non-independent rear suspension, paired with electric power steering with adjustable steering force, ensuring excellent driving stability and comfort for daily urban commuting. The braking system adopts front ventilated disc brakes and rear disc brakes, with an electric parking brake, further enhancing driving safety and convenience.
