The MG 4X is a fully electric SUV from SAIC MG. The new model retains the illuminated logo and full-width LED light bar design, supports the OPPO Smart Driving ecosystem, and is equipped with Horizon’s large language model. It debuts with a semi-solid-state battery offering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 510 km, with a version featuring a semi-solid-state battery and a CLTC-rated range of 610 km also available. The vehicle measures 4500/1849/1621 (1627) mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2735 mm. It is powered by a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with either 125 kW or 150 kW of power.

Exterior Design

The MG 4X inherits the classic family design language of the MG series, adopting a pure electric exclusive closed front face that delivers a sleek and futuristic visual effect. It is equipped with star-eye through-type LED headlights and horizontal penetrating LED daytime running lights, paired with a luminous MG logo that enhances the refined and technological sense of the front facade. The lower front bumper features a sporty surround and air knife structure, optimizing aerodynamic performance while highlighting a dynamic stance. The vehicle boasts smooth body lines with a wide-shoulder design on the rear fenders, creating a low and wide body posture. The rear end is fitted with star-arrow through-type LED taillights, which deliver a highly recognizable lighting effect. Multiple exterior color options are available to meet diverse personalized aesthetic needs.
In terms of body dimensions, the MG 4X has a length of 4,500 mm, a width of 1,849 mm, and a height of 1,621 mm, with a generous wheelbase that brings a spacious interior layout. The model provides ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers, achieving superior riding space experience among compact pure electric SUVs. The rear seats support flexible folding, effectively expanding the rear cargo space and realizing diversified usage scenarios for daily travel and outdoor camping.

Interior Design

The interior of the MG 4X adopts an enveloped light luxury layout, focusing on comfort and technological texture. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch floating central control touchscreen, forming a streamlined intelligent cockpit that brings an immersive visual and interactive experience. The interior adopts low-saturation color matching and a dual-color flat-bottom two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, further upgrading the delicate and fashionable interior atmosphere. The vehicle is fitted with cloud-like queen seats with four-way leg support, as well as front seats with electric adjustment, bionic massage, ventilation and heating functions, delivering premium riding comfort.
In terms of configuration, the base version is equipped with practical features including parking sensors, rearview camera, and cruise control. The higher-spec versions are upgraded with Level 2 intelligent driver assistance systems, active braking, 360-degree panoramic camera system and other safety and intelligent configurations. Meanwhile, the intelligent multimedia system supports multi-zone voice control and mainstream mobile interconnection functions, fully meeting daily intelligent travel needs.

Powertrain

The MG 4X offers two powertrain versions to adapt to different driving demands. The standard-power model is equipped with a high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, generating a maximum power of 125 kW and a peak torque of 250 Nm, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds. The high-power variant delivers a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 350 Nm, bringing more powerful and responsive driving performance. Matched with a single-speed electric transmission, the vehicle achieves smooth and steady power output.
The model is equipped with a high-capacity battery pack, supporting excellent endurance performance for daily commuting and long-distance travel. It features efficient fast-charging technology, which greatly shortens the charging waiting time and improves travel convenience. With a professional chassis tuning and excellent power matching, the MG 4X balances outstanding driving stability and energy-saving performance.
